I know some people can't help it, I get that.

BUT I've just seen a photo on FB of a Mum & daughter and someone has comment 'so pressures' - I am assuming they mean precious!!

Any other classics you've seen?

Payed instead of paid.

sharpstick · 04/11/2018 22:08

‘Seems as’ instead of ‘seeing as’ “seems as we are going into town, we may as well eat at the cafe” nooooo!!! Drives me mad.

missmouse101 · 04/11/2018 22:20

Shephard instead of shepherd. Gah!

redandwhite1 · 04/11/2018 22:32

Bought and brought make me soooo mad

carriefinn93 · 04/11/2018 22:42

Loose instead of lose really grinds my gears...

sharpstick · 04/11/2018 22:50

I also know someone who ‘mummycuddles’ her children...

Nurse1980 · 04/11/2018 23:04

Yous instead of you
Gowjuss makes me cringe.

starfishmummy · 04/11/2018 23:29

Queue instead of cue.

Gunna instead of going to. Even gonna would be bad but not as bad as gunna!!

TheWiseWomansFear · 04/11/2018 23:38

Discusting and powley (disgusting and poorly)

TheWiseWomansFear · 04/11/2018 23:46

@KrispyKremes definitely not a northern thing...

LadyGrey66 · 04/11/2018 23:46

Argh just reading this thread is enraging me!

‘Right of passage’ drives me mad!

EllenOlenska · 05/11/2018 00:52

Sammiges
Chimley
Hun

Same as a pp; rest bite (I first came across this in a 3rd yr medical students report about a patient with "dementure")

Lovetosinglalala123 · 05/11/2018 01:03

Lead instead of led. It's everywhere!

I was lead down the garden path, or led down the garden path?

I'm second language English so willing to hold my hands up if I'm wrong. I'm looking too hard now and neither seems correct Confused

CoughLaughFart · 05/11/2018 08:49

(I first came across this in a 3rd yr medical students report about a patient with "dementure")

Someone on here tried to insult me once by asking if maybe I had ‘dementure’ Grin I felt the need to point out that I wasn’t so demented that I couldn’t spell ‘dementia’.

pollysproggle · 05/11/2018 08:55

I've seen 'deffernitley' on Facebook. It was gold!

BikeRunSki · 05/11/2018 09:05

Loose instead of lose.

newshoe · 05/11/2018 09:20

CommanderDaisy, there's nothing wrong with 'spellings'!

FloralCup · 05/11/2018 09:28

Saw an advertisement recently: Open Tuesday's and Thursdays.
I think they were hedging their bets.

(Autocorrect tried to change Thursdays to Thursday's. I think autocorrect is the cause of many misspellings)

Powerless · 05/11/2018 09:53

@ Bonbon Omg are you joking?! Are these people thick or deaf?!

AdoreTheBeach · 05/11/2018 10:57

Eek! Just sent a message and my blasted phone changed peel to peal.

EllenOlenska · 05/11/2018 11:01

MashNpeas · 05/11/2018 11:47

On Facebook - his instead of he's 'his been such a good boy today'

myusernamewastakenbyme · 05/11/2018 12:33

I keep seeing funeral posts on fb where they have said so and so past away instead of passed....drives me nuts.

SilentIsla · 05/11/2018 12:42

TheWiseWomansFear

Discusting and powley (disgusting and poorly)

The last one is probably a result of a certain variety of English accent, as well as ignorance.

SilentIsla · 05/11/2018 12:43

Medical students do not know how to spell dementia? I despair.
