I know some people can't help it, I get that.

BUT I've just seen a photo on FB of a Mum & daughter and someone has comment 'so pressures' - I am assuming they mean precious!!

Any other classics you've seen?

My OH puts r’s in words they don’t belong such as “avocardo” and “tomarto”. It drives me insane!!! I can see why he spells them that way but no matter how many times I correct him he continues...

SilentIsla · 05/11/2018 12:45

Using reign in instead of rein in.
It makes no sense.

Aeroflotgirl · 05/11/2018 12:46

Mutha (Mother), Wot (what), Summagh (Summer), and basically any text speak aghghghgh!

SilentIsla · 05/11/2018 12:47

None are available instead of none is available.

These type of reforms instead of these types of reforms. I see that in print.🙄

conkernuts · 05/11/2018 12:51

'Farther' instead of 'Father'. Grinds my gears!!

SantaIsReal · 05/11/2018 12:53

Someone on my fb does something similar of her and her children; "Me and my angles"
It really bugs me! It is ANGELS!!! Angry

Haworthia · 05/11/2018 12:58

I hate it when people type “rrrrrr” when they mean “aaaah” (as in, “isn’t that cute”).

Everanewbie · 05/11/2018 13:02

Prostrate when meaning Prostate.

shadlo · 05/11/2018 13:59

I'm a long time reader but first time poster Grin.
Someone on my Facebook really annoys me with her posts. She went and PAIDED her bills. She gets lots of TEXTES sent to her phone. She was so EXITED at getting said TEXTES. She frequently uses DOSE instead of does, and doesn't know the no E before ING rule, HAVEING, WRITEING, MAKEING, TAKEING, etc.
She hurts my brain!

NatashaRomanov · 05/11/2018 14:07

Gawjuss.
Dawg. (I think she does this to be "quirky", and it makes me want to break my phone)
Devine for divine.
Discusted.

4yearsnosleep · 05/11/2018 14:14

I saw someone advertising 'personalised ball balls' I only figured out what she was talking about because there was a picture of baubles attached.

I also hate that people write defiantly rather than definitely, but I think that's an autocorrect issue.

Revengers18 · 05/11/2018 14:35

loathes instead of loads...as in 'I love you loathes'...

Cambalamb · 05/11/2018 15:06

Slither and sliver.

Snakes lither.
We eat slivers of cheese.

showmewhatyougot · 05/11/2018 15:47

Carnt

Pepper123123 · 05/11/2018 15:49

My SIL says 'this smorning'. Smorning? Why would you think an extra S needs to be added?

She always uses 'skwl' for school and 'gorjuss' for gorgeous. She's not trying to use text talk when she types gorjuss, she genuinely thinks that's how it's meant to be.

Pepper123123 · 05/11/2018 15:51

Also, my dog walker has named his company Surname's Walky's. Drives me insane!

tiggerkid · 05/11/2018 15:58

I particularly hate pacific instead of specific

I hear people saying this and have seen it written many times. Will never understand how this is even possible!

NRPDad · 05/11/2018 16:04

Not a spelling thing but there seems to be an increasing trend of using 'generally' when they really mean 'genuinely'

e.g. I generally couldn't believe it.

Whilst it makes sense, I'm sure they really mean genuinely.

JanetWeb2812 · 05/11/2018 16:17

I remember it as if it were yesterday. Going up to my First Year Junior School Teacher with my homework and having it red-inked for spelling tough "tuff". It was 1968 and Tuf was a very popular brand of school shoes.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 05/11/2018 16:27

Bare with me...

TellerTuesday4EVA · 05/11/2018 17:03

Discusting - my Facebook newsfeed is full of it, at least once a day somebody declares their outrage at something with it!! Makes my bloody teeth itch!!

Cineraria · 05/11/2018 17:04

My manager in a previous role seemed to have blended the words lax and lackadaisical and would send emails about the perils of being laxydaisy about any important tasks the team were carrying out. It was ok seeing this in an email but I often had to bite my tongue to avoid giggling when she said it in the course of chairing a meeting.

We also had a helpful notice pointing out that out was unhygienic to leave our dirty bowels in the sink and an email to advise us all that the stationary cupboard would shortly be moving.

Vegeetas · 05/11/2018 17:28

The ones that really get my goat are (and I speak from many an experience here):

Aloominium. No Aluminium. Also stop Americanising it or I WILL slap you.

Also someone asked me if I spelt Mike as Myke..... I nearly had a rage based aneurysm.

Finally people that deliberately spell their kids names wrong just to try and be cool. Its not cool and its note cute. Its not spelt Jeseeka...

Clarich007 · 05/11/2018 17:42

Potatoe or Tomatoe.
High heals.
Your instead of you're.
Rediculous.
So many but i can't think of any more at the moment.
Also 24/7 hate that one

Mummaluelae · 05/11/2018 18:24

The obvious when people get there, their and they're the wrong way around!
Someone I knew via text or fb would type 'do you wot to do something' wot instead of want!
When people spell important and information like inportant and imformation
