DP picked up baby with volterol on hands!

I need to rant.

DP just rubbed a load of max strength volterol in to his thigh. Then, with sticky unwashed hands, literally immediately after rubbing it in to his leg, picked up our 10 day old baby who only had a nappy on. I grabbed baby and put him under the shower to rinse him off.

I'm furious and have walked out of the house with him in pram to cool off. I could literally see the shiny handprint on DS where the gel was on him.

How could he be so stupid? AIBU to be furious at him? Or am I overreacting (very hormonal at the moment...)

Mine rolled off the settee on to the floor. I didn't realize he could move!!!

My brother did that when I was supposed to be keeping an eye on him (I was 10) while our DM went to get something from the kitchen. I had my head in a book, and it was the first time he'd rolled over. He had to go to hospital and had concussion.

He had at least 2 more trips to A&E before he was one and god knows how many since. We've both inherited the paternal accident-prone gene. It wasn't until I was in my early 20s I realised that this wasn't normal.

Things happen OP, and mistakes are made. Thankfully, most of them are harmless.
