My nose seriously changed since having first baby 10 months ago it doesn’t seem to be going back to normal... it’s a lot bigger and wider although I am about ten pounds away from pre baby weight but not overweight

Your nose changed?

Ok then. Mind didn’t so v sorry but can’t help with this one. Bit weird.

Myusername101z · 27/10/2018 23:52

I actually thought it was a common thing Confused during pregnancy atleast ,mine just never returned to normal

Never heard of anyone's NOSE growing during pregnancy.

Why the hell would THAT happen?!

PippilottaLongstocking · 27/10/2018 23:54

I’ve heard of it happening a lot! No idea if it’ll change back though

Sunbeam18 · 27/10/2018 23:54

I've seen this happen to people, it is a thing!

PickAChew · 27/10/2018 23:56

Mine was wrecked when I fell on it, age 10. Pregnancy couldn't add to that.

Sinead100 · 27/10/2018 23:56

This is definitely a thing, and whilst I have not experienced it, I have seen it happen to others!

butterflysugarbaby · 27/10/2018 23:57

It may be a 'thing' but it never happened to me, or anyone else I know.

Skylucy · 27/10/2018 23:58

What?!

BunnyCake · 27/10/2018 23:59

It didn't happen to me but have heard it said that people can spot someone is pregnant because their nose looks different. My feet grew one size bigger and stayed bigger

butterflysugarbaby · 27/10/2018 23:59

All that said, I do see women's faces filling out and looking round and puffy during pregnant. But I figured that was because of gaining weight. (and their face goes back to normal when the baby is born.) Never seen anyone's nose get bigger though.

butterflysugarbaby · 28/10/2018 00:00

DURING PREGNANCY... (not during pregnant!)

Aus84 · 28/10/2018 00:01

Your nose changes as you get older. It’s the cartilage sagging that makes it appear bigger.

SilverHairedCat · 28/10/2018 00:02

My mother talks about this. She was a midwife when she was pregnant with me back in the 80s . She was due in the April, so she and my Dad took a last holiday to Arran in early March, a good 9 weeks before her due date. In the pub one night some old lady came up to mum and told her she'd go into labour that night. She laughed it off, but asked what made her think it. Apparently the lady "could tell by her nose"....

Mum went into labour 5 hours later and they had to get the ferry out for her in the night as she needed a planned cesarean due medical issues. All fun and games! She still thinks it was bollocks, particularly given she was a midwife herself. On the other hand...

ToeToToe · 28/10/2018 00:03

I have never known this be a thing. I suffered from puffy-face during my pregnancies, and have known many other women suffer from puffy-face, but I've never heard of the nose changing!

crunchtime · 28/10/2018 00:04

Mine did with ds1
Got wider and spread across my face.

Myusername101z · 28/10/2018 00:07

I’m glad they are some of you who have heard of it so I don’t sound like a complete nutter ... maybe it’s a mixture of aging too but it’s a lot different

OP posts:
Rebecca36 · 28/10/2018 00:12

It will go back to normal, don't fret about it.

Celestia26 · 28/10/2018 00:14

Something happens to the sinuses and blood vessels in your skull when you're pregnant so not sure if it's to do with this perhaps. I got terribly blocked sinuses and fluid retention in my face during pregnancy, which cleared up after the birth.

Pregnancy just wrecks your body in general tbh.

headfullofdreams · 28/10/2018 00:16

My feet grew but the nose didn't.

pictish · 28/10/2018 00:25

My feet went up a size to a 7 when pregnant first time round...and never did shrink back again. So yes, my feet grew but I don't think my nose did.

toherdoor · 28/10/2018 00:37

My feet shrank by a size and a half

MintyCedric · 28/10/2018 00:48

I've heard of this too.

Had a horrendously blocked nose at night for the first few months but no change externally.

Went up a shoe size as well and still the same now DD is 14.

Obviouslynotobvious · 28/10/2018 01:09

I'm a midwife. It's a thing. Sorry some people are ignorant on here - Google something before you tell someone they're weird.

bumstums · 28/10/2018 01:14

The only place I put weight on was my nose!!!
