Wee everywhere!!!

So, our radiator in the bathroom has been replaced once because it had gone rusty in one corner (nearest the toilet). So DH replaced with a shiny new one. This one is now going rusty in the same spot. I KNOW it's caused by spots of wee. The floor around the toilet sparkles like glitter! I've left wipes next to the toilet for the DH and DS to use.
Apparently our toilet is the wrong shape! (WTAF)
I've said well if it's the wrong shape () could u please sit down to wee???
I'm sick to death of wiping pee off the floor and radiator.
It's getting to the point that I'd rather buy a new toilet to prove a point!
AIBU to ask him a) to sit down or b) to clean it up!!!!!!

(Sorry just think I need to rant.)

YANBU

tryingtocatchthewind · 25/10/2018 22:13

I bloody hate this, why are boys/men not taught to just sit down. It always goes everywhere no matter what the style of loo

ohnoworry · 25/10/2018 22:16

@tryingtocatchthewind my 4yo stands up - I've no idea who taught him - I think one of his nursery friends???? BUT he uses no hands BUT is somehow more accurate than dh

tryingtocatchthewind · 25/10/2018 22:19

Hahaha. My boys sat until school and then it was just a lost cause. My FIL is the worst for it yuk

DishranawaywiththeSpoon · 25/10/2018 22:20

Ugh..why do men think it's okay to just piss all over the house? I know it's by the toilet but they might as well pee in the living room if it's not going in the toilet Envy

YANBU your DH and DS should learn to only wee in the toilet if that means sitting down so be it. If they do miss then they should clean up their own mess ffs! Who thinks it's okay to wee on the floor?

M0gg · 25/10/2018 22:22

When we bought our house the radiator next to loo was all rusted 🤮🤮

I wish they'd just sit down!

pippop1317 · 25/10/2018 22:31

I've just said to him, if it was me or DD causing the radiator to rust like that then he'd be having a shit fit!
He doesn't seem to understand how much it pisses me off or how disgusting it is!

caringcarer · 25/10/2018 22:34

Leave a mop in toilet and show ds and if necessary dh how to use it.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 25/10/2018 22:41

Even if they sit down it doesn't mean their isn't any leakage! The p**is doesn't point 'down' just because they are sitting down.

Rednaxela · 25/10/2018 22:47

Clean it with fabric softener to form a protective film?

Yanbu it's foul

user1473878824 · 25/10/2018 23:00

I have found my people weeps

pippop1317 · 26/10/2018 10:21

@Walkingdeadfangirl I know it doesn't guarantee it. But surely it's gives it a much better chance!

I am having this same exact issue!! My DH and DS can not aim what so ever I've even caught my DS (13) using no hands but standing Angry me and my DD (15) are beyond frustrated that each time we need the loo we have to clean up their pee! How difficult is it!??
The worst is when I wake up in the night and as my bum hits the seat I feel the cold piss on my skin Shock

Aprilsinparis · 26/10/2018 10:55

Dirty filthy bastards! It's like they're marking their territoryGrin

Tighnabruaich · 26/10/2018 11:00

My husband - and my two ex-partners - all sit down to pee.
I would just hit the roof if any men in my house pissed all over the place.

Snomade · 26/10/2018 11:00

That's horrendous. I've never lived with a man like this luckily. Maybe start pissing on something of his in retaliation? Grin

Sexnotgender · 26/10/2018 11:02

Start leaving dirty sanitary towels on the floor. Maybe some blood smeared on the toilet seat.

Utterly revolting but should get your point across quickly.

dadshere · 26/10/2018 11:03

Dh is perfectly capable of standing and peeing without peeing over the floor. I am fairly sure that this is not a 'special talent'. If your menfolk are acting like dogs, you need to make them clean it up and possible look at some sort of sanction ( Cold bum treatment for dh, loss of allowance for ds?)

davisday · 26/10/2018 11:04

I bloody hate this, why are boys/men not taught to just sit down.

I taught my DS to sit. I also retrained DH to do the same

Even if they sit down it doesn't mean their isn't any leakage! the pENIs doesn't point 'down' just because they are sitting down.

It's not really difficult to ensure it is. Much more so that trying to stand and aim.

Penis is not a bad word btw.

TaighNamGastaOrt · 26/10/2018 11:19

Ugh, my DH and DS are fairly accurate, but I recently helped my mum clean her house after evicting her manky tenants. The downstairs loo was absolutely vile. It used to be carpeted, so the tenants ripped up the carpet. Even then, and after professional cleaners had been in, it still stunk of stale pee and the units are stained yellow.
Why????

Aprilsinparis · 26/10/2018 12:45

TaighNamGastaOrt there are some dirty bastards about. Some people ought to be made to live in kennels.

pippop1317 · 26/10/2018 16:49

I'm gonna line the floor/radiator with incontinence pads and see how he likes that

marvellousnightforamooncup · 26/10/2018 16:55

That's why we have a ladies and a gents in my house. It is horrible.

Sitting doesn't always help. Ds2 makes a little fountain when he's pushing out a poo.

MaryShelley1818 · 26/10/2018 16:58

DP always sits down to pee!
Going to teach DS to do the same x

Thishatisnotmine · 26/10/2018 22:00

Yabu. I lived with dh for ten years. He weed in the toilet. There were misshaps when drunk.

Two years ago we moved to a new house with a new toilet and he is constantly wiping wee off the rim amd floor. It splatters out of the toilet, I've seen! There is such a thing as a bad toilet.
