So, our radiator in the bathroom has been replaced once because it had gone rusty in one corner (nearest the toilet). So DH replaced with a shiny new one. This one is now going rusty in the same spot. I KNOW it's caused by spots of wee. The floor around the toilet sparkles like glitter! I've left wipes next to the toilet for the DH and DS to use.
Apparently our toilet is the wrong shape! (WTAF)
I've said well if it's the wrong shape () could u please sit down to wee???
I'm sick to death of wiping pee off the floor and radiator.
It's getting to the point that I'd rather buy a new toilet to prove a point!
AIBU to ask him a) to sit down or b) to clean it up!!!!!!

(Sorry just think I need to rant.)

I just asked my DH if he is able to sit down and wee. He told me he physically can't, because his willy bends and he can't go.

He said it's like a bent straw- you can't drink out of a bent draw 🤷

AGHHHH · 26/10/2018 22:25

@Walkingdeadfangirl where would it leak out if they sat down then? Their body would be covering the seat with their willy in the toilet? Confused 😂

BitOutOfPractice · 26/10/2018 22:31

It's just fucking disrespectful. Of course they could get it in if they wanted. But what's the point when they can enjoy the spectacle of a woman demeaning herself to clean it up for them.

That's the long age the short of it. For some men they can't be bothered not to piss on the floor because they know it's women's work to clean up their piss up after them.

That may seem harsh but that's what happens in millions of homes across the UK. Men piss on the floor. And they expect women to clean it up.

BitOutOfPractice · 26/10/2018 22:34

I can't believe how many women here seem to find it funny that they have to mop up grown men's urine. It's do not funny. And it's so indicative of attitude. Ugh

AGHHHH · 26/10/2018 22:36

@BitOutOfPractice nothing to do with them just being lazy, dirty sods is it? Has to be because they want to watch "their women" clean up their piss?

Nah.

BMW6 · 26/10/2018 22:40

Ooooooooh now I know why the corner of the radiator nearest the loo is rusting!

But I have never ever wiped up DH's pee from the floor nor is it ever wet, so ..........

Have just asked DH. If he spills, he wipes it up, and he is horrified about the corner-of-the-radiator-near-the-toilet-rusting business.

His exact words on that were "Fucking hell". Don't know whether that relates to the rusting revelation or the discussion of this on MN Smile

Cheeeeislifenow · 26/10/2018 22:43

Ah op I feel your ain, we have had a leak and had to replace a toilet due to my three smelly boys and DH who can't piss straight. It's so frustrating. I hate living with men.

IAmNotAWitch · 26/10/2018 22:48

I have no idea whether my husband or DS's have issues getting the pee in the toilet.

But I do know that if they do have issues they don't leave it for me to deal with.

When my sons were toddlers and had a mishap I showed them how to clean up and explained that they shouldn't leave such things for other people to deal with, so they don't.

I can't imagine a world where my family thought so little of me that they felt it was appropriate for them to leave their piss for me to clean up.

Notfair2030 · 26/10/2018 22:51

My dh sits down. Always has done. I am forever greatful. Ds1 sits down. He tried standing before and his aim was shocking and has been banned. Ds2 is 3 and doesn't give a shit and sometimes is very accurate and others not so much. I thought my days of cleaning up kids after nappies was over... apparently it is never over....

JellySlice · 26/10/2018 22:55

Disgusting, unnecessary and unacceptable.

Live with 3 males, one of whom has a penis which doesn't wee straight (it arcs off to the left). None of them make any mess when they wee. If they do, they wipe it up - I haven't had to wipe up since the youngest was about 6. They all know how to pee sitting down (DH taught them, so that they would neither wake everyone up nor miss at night). They know that they have to use their hand to point penis downward.

DH has also said that certain toilet pans cause bad splatter. His solution is to pee sitting down.

Dh would be revolted to abuse his own home like that.

BitOutOfPractice · 26/10/2018 22:56

Why is it ok for them to be lazy dirty sods? Is that somehow better? Either way it's disgusting and unnecessary and not the adorable quirk that so many on this thread seem to think. Dirty or misogynistic, either way it's disrespectful and appalling.

VisitorsEntrance · 26/10/2018 23:00

I lived for about 10 years in a house with a sloping roof over the toilet. The head clearance can’t have been much more that 5ft.

DH is 6ft4. He had no choice but to sit down and has done so ever since.

LuvSmallDogs · 26/10/2018 23:03

Men can press their willies down at the base while leaning forward if their angle’s not quite right.

Even my 4 y/o mops up with toilet paper and shows me where to go over with antibac.

AGHHHH · 26/10/2018 23:04

@BitOutOfPractice did I say it was ok? Confused I just said that was the reason, and not your dramatic version where the man gets a kick out of seeing his mistress on her hands and knees mopping up his piss. ✋

madmum5811 · 26/10/2018 23:05

Living with four men I never stood a chance. Rusty radiators, mess on the floor around the base. When OH had an op which meant he passed blood for a couple of weeks, it was obvious who was the worst in the house.

busybarbara · 26/10/2018 23:06

Even more gross when you think about where else that willy has been OP Grin do you make him wipe it clean first?? Confused

PickAChew · 26/10/2018 23:09

It's most likely just condensation, ffs. Bathroom radiators nowhere near loos rust, too.

SlowlyShrinking · 26/10/2018 23:15

I always think of a man pisses on the floor it’s because his dick isn’t long enough to reach over the seat and intotje target area, but surely they could either lean forward a bit or sit down??

BitOutOfPractice · 27/10/2018 00:09

@AGHHHH dramatic? Not reality. Realistic I'd say. Just not maybe not the way you've thought of it before. But hey ho, you continue to find it charming and cleaning up the piss 😳

AGHHHH · 27/10/2018 16:06

@BitOutOfPractice would you mind quoting where I said it was charming or that I ever clean up anyone else's piss? Hmm

AGHHHH · 27/10/2018 16:06

Some people are fucking ridiculous.
