AIBU?

Daily clothes routine!

LunasPaws · 23/10/2018 07:49

Inspired by another thread. AIBU to be amazed that there's people who stay in their 'normal clothes' all day until bedtime?

What's your daily clothes routine?

I wear work clothes during the week but the moment I'm home I change into either pyjamas or my tatty old joggers comfies. Then sleep naked! I never actually sleep in my pyjamas Blush TBH I thought most people did this!

My work clothes are quite casual so I keep them on til just before dinner when I shower and go into pjs. Bed is a pair of knickers and depending on temperature; a vest or not.

Shock That's weird.

I wear clothes all day (work clothes if I'm working, casual clothes if not).

Just before going to bed I put in pjs.

Same Op. At home I rarely wear 'real' clothes! Just joggers / Pjs etc. Much more comfy

I wear normal clothes until I get in the bath at about 9pm. Have 2 small dc's so bath/shower at night because DH goes to work early so I can't in the morning. Usually wear shorts and a vest for bed.

I wear the same clothes all day but I dress casually for work (jeans/top).

Normal clothes all day, though I wear scrubs at work so my own clothes only get worn for a few hours either side of work. Pyjamas only for bed. Before DS I would sometimes hang out in PJs in the morning but not before bed - the most I might do is change tight trousers for leggings on coming home.

I’m in pjamas when home , even if I’ve gone out in leggings and a comfy dress I’ll still change back

Work clothes all day if in the office then either into workout stuff or more usually t shirt and pants and dressing gown. I am often not home til gone 9 on an office day.

On a working from home day just joggers all day til bed then sleep in T-shirt and pants.

Weekend days I do sometimes change once we're home from activities so won't be leaving the house again that day.

Eh?! I just wear my clothes all day then change into PJs at bedtime and go to bed - and that's whether I have been at work or not. Always wear PJs whatever the weather as kids come into the bed in the morning.

Yes. We call it lounge wear. It's a combination of comfy clothes and PJs. The kids do it to but wear gym clothes and look far better than me in Pjs older than they are. My very smart MIL is horrified.

Usually change into them when we are not going out anymore - anywhere from 2pm but more around 4pm.

I couldn't sit in day clothes in the evening - i need to let everything hang out (boobs, stomach etc). Then sleep in PJ top and undies.

Normal clothes until bed then PJs to sleep in. Unless it’s a weekend and I’m staying up later then it’s PJs after dinner to watch a film in then bed. I don’t like sleeping naked, I get too cold.

All those who change out of work clothes possibly get into bed earlier or go to bed later than me? I tend to get in at 7 and be in bed by 9 so it doesn’t feel worth changing for 2 hours.

I wear very casual clothing for work. Anything from jeans and a knitted jumper with boots to Hoodie gym leggings and trainers. So I'm normally in comfy clothes anyway. I will usually get changed into some jogging bottoms or pyjama bottoms when I get in from work. If nothing else I am usually cooking tidying up etc and it saves my day to day clothes from getting grease marks dirt etc on them

If at home: fleece trousers (but def not PJs) to do housework and gardening in, then change before dinner in the evening to something less manky. Is more about dirt than looks. Also change if I decide to go to the shops or out to a friend's house. Nightwear is donned after bath only around 11 p.m

If at work - if I'm wearing something very smart (skirt suit) I will change when I come home. If I'm just in normalish clothes (top/trousers or a wide skirt or dress) that are comfortable anyway I will just keep them on till bathtime.

I generally wear whatever I’ve had on during the day until I get ready for bed. I’d only change into leggings etc on the nights that I go to an excercise class, both of those start quite late so straight from those into the shower and then pjs.

However, I’m comfortable in my work clothes- usually a dress or 7/8 trousers and a shirt- so that’s not an issue. DS needs to be taken to training 4 nights a week so we often go for coffee with friends who also have children training, I wouldn’t inflict my tatty tracksuit bottoms on them!

Staying in PJ when I'm at home saves on cat hair removal.

Nope, don't change unless it's been a 'smart' event and I can't wait to get out of those clothes.

Kids only change from uniform if they're hot/cold/doing another activity/mucky.

DH sometimes changes depending on what time he gets home.

Smart casual at work so yes, I stay in it until I change into pjs for bed.

When I used to wear a suit for work I’d usually change into jeans or leggings when I came home for work. I’m not quite sure lounge wear was really a “thing” until quite recently...

Pj’s or joggers (and bra off) when in the house, which is why I’m never jumping with joy when we get unexpected visitors looking at you PIL

Throw on jeans if I leave the house.

Fully dressed until I change into pjs here. Quite often I’ll have a quick shower whilst ds is in the bath, particularly if it’s hot weather and then I’ll get into pjs then. VERY occasionally I’ll change into more comfy clothes when I get in from work if I was wearing something particularly smart but normally cannot be bothered. DH wears a Uniform and gets changed out of it as soon as he gets home.

It seems weird to put on PJ's when home from work and then take them off to go to bed. If I'm working in the office during the day then I'll be generally dressed formally in a trousers suit etc, so that comes off at home and I'll change into something like a tunic with leggings. If working from home, then dressed very casually and that stays on until bed time which is a nightie plus knicks.

I just wear clothes. In heatwave weather I have a couple of old sundresses that I wear indoors but in normal weather I just keep my day clothes on. I would get changed if I had to wear formal office clothes though. I don't have any pyjamas, I just wear a tshirt type nightie or vest top with old leggings in bed.

Most nights DH & I change into PJs when DD is in her bath.

As I don't want to lie on her bed in my day clothes when we're reading a story etc.

Then means we're both comfy once she's asleep and we're watching TV etc.

But I don't have the dress smart for work (one business) so generally I'm just in jeans and a t shirt anyway so that's fine to wear up until PJ time.

If I'm dressed up for any reason then I'll get home and put on something comfy.
