I am looking for recommendations for a travelodge or Premier Inn in Central London. I am travelling with kids, what is good but also handy for tube etc? 😀

Where are you coming from? There is a Premier Inn near Euston and Kings X and one near Waterloo.

AlexanderHamilton · 21/10/2018 21:06

I can recommend South Kensington Premier Inn or a little further out but great for the South Bank is Waterloo Travelodge.

AlexanderHamilton · 21/10/2018 21:07

Euston Premier is Fine if you only need two beds (we stayed there as a family of 3 but it won’t fit 4)

MrTrebus · 21/10/2018 21:07

PREMIER INN HUBS

AMAZING AND SO CHEAP

IGNORE CAPS

Travelodge Covent Garden is a 5 minute walk away from Holborn tube. Stayed there with DD once and it was good and really close to stuff to do and things to eat!

TigerDroveAgain · 21/10/2018 21:08

Premier Inn London County Hall

hilbil21 · 21/10/2018 21:08

We have stayed in the premier inn in Leicester Square twice. It's great

coffeeagogo · 21/10/2018 21:09

Posted in your other thread - More information please - what are your plans in London - where are you arriving into (train/plane/car) what's your budget

AlexanderHamilton · 21/10/2018 21:09

I don’t think the Premier Inn hubs do family rooms do they.

Covent Garden is fantastic location but whoever I’ve looked either very expensive or full.

Stayed in Holborn Premier and wasn’t overly impressed with that one.

mysteryfairy · 21/10/2018 21:15

I like the premier inn near Borough Market - rooms rooms around a courtyard thing so relatively quiet. Nice to nip into Borough Market for breakfast and to have the Southbank stretched out when it's less busy. Possibly not the best place to return to after an evening show (unless at the Globe!) so really depends what you have planned.

Whatthefunk · 21/10/2018 21:18

Premier inn at Blackfriars, is near to the Tower of London and St Paul's. Just across the river from the Tate modern. Brilliant location

Poisongirl81 · 21/10/2018 21:18

Leicester Square is full on my dates 😔 train into Euston for 3 nights. Thanks for the advice so far 😊

My choice is also hugely dependent on the time of year. In summer air con is a must for us.

Poisongirl81 · 21/10/2018 21:24

A winter trip late December

Euston or Kings Cross St Pancras are all fine.

Deliqueen · 21/10/2018 21:54

County hall is perfect for families, it's next to a playpark as well as Southbank. Always something to see. Tower bridge premier inn is good if you need a car park. It's on a well served bus route but not close to the tube(which makes it cheaper usually!). Supermarket very close too. Always prefer premier inn to Travelodge for family stays the beds are much better.

gothefcktosleep · 21/10/2018 21:59

If it’s the weekend you may find premier inn and travel lodges in the city are cheap as the business district is a beautifully quiet on these days (but close to St Paul’s and Tower of London) enjoy!

A580Hojas · 21/10/2018 22:01

There is a nice Premier Inn not far from London Bridge station which is a great place to start for loads of touristy excursions.

LucyAutumn · 21/10/2018 22:06

Walthamstow Central has a Travelodge right next to the underground station, it's on the Victoria line which goes to many of the tourist locations and links to Euston, Kings X, Victoria, Oxford Circus.

LucyAutumn · 21/10/2018 22:08

Victoria Line also late night tube.

user1457824083 · 21/10/2018 22:12

Premier Inn Hampsted. It is just across the road from Belsize Park underground on the Northern line. Easy to get to from Euston station and easy to get in and out of central London.

CheeseAndBeans · 21/10/2018 22:15

We did the travelodge in Southwark with 2 kids a few weeks ago. They were really good, and pretty reasonable price. Big room with 2 extra beds and very comfortable. Staff were lovely with the kids too.
Southwark tube is just down the road and not far from Waterloo/London bridge too.

AlexanderHamilton · 21/10/2018 22:18

That’s the one we stayed in. I was very impressed with it.

E20mom · 21/10/2018 22:23

I walk past the Covent Garden one all the time. It's a really great location.
