The consultation on whether to allow any man to self identify as a woman closes at 11pm tomorrow. If we allow this to happen, we will never be able to put the genie back in the bottle when more women and girls are harmed.

My DD was concerned, as she has a friend who is trans. But when we talked she knew her friend is working at getting a GRC, when I explained that certain people may choose to exploit self ID she realised the consequences of it.
She's just filled it in.
I should have done this earlier.

I did it last week, and heartened to see the responses here.

But I'm very concerned that the equivalent consultation in Scotland happened at the start of the year, closing in March. I'm reasonably well informed abut I had no idea it was happening until long after it was over. I'm very concerned that I've participated in the UK consultation (which I think I needed to as it impacts upon things that aren't devolved as well as those which are) but didn't get to participate in Scotland where I live. This thread has prompted me to contact my MSPs about it. I honestly don't think it was at all well publicised.
