The consultation on whether to allow any man to self identify as a woman closes at 11pm tomorrow. If we allow this to happen, we will never be able to put the genie back in the bottle when more women and girls are harmed.

I had no idea that Hospital Wards would be a place that would be vunerable to a Self ID male-saying-they-are-female male could legally enter and be accomodated on.

I knew about the changing rooms (and it's one reason I never use them and don't let my teenage DD go in alone)

With purpleme I read it all quickly and have reservations but did the quicklink anyway since I'm appalled that the initial consultation on the reform on the 2004 Gender Recognition Act did not consult women's groups - shame on you Maria Miller. I'm also appalled about the aggression the trans lobby have shown. I have trans in my family who are loved and supported as all trans should be and also object to the invasion of female spaces.
