AIBU to state that no one thinks Self ID for Trans gender people should be passed as law.

Thank you for reading my thread.

I would appreciate respectful debate on this issue as I am utterly bewildered. Please do not attack me and call me a transphobic person. I am not. I work with vulnerable women and children, including victims of grooming gangs, in Calderdale. I live in a town very close to where Karen White lived and abused his victims which has made me research this topic.

I posted on MN yesterday asking for views on the media calling Karen White - a male rapist - she. I have researched and read continuously for the last 24 hours and am now utterly bewildered. It seems that the government, media and many trusted organisations are willing to pass over the rights of women and children to support the rights of men who may or may not be transgendered.

Transgendered people have dysphoria, this means that being a trans woman and being a rapist are exclusive - you cannot be one if you are the other. it makes no sense. It seems very clear that if self ID goes thru then any man which a personality disorder and fetish can ID as a woman and use this loop hole to gain access to hospitals, prisons, detention centres, children's homes, refuges and rape crisis centres. As women, we must protect those that are vulnerable, it cannot be right that to meet the needs of a maligned group (trans gender people) we sacrifice the rights of another?

We have a system that seems flawed - maybe it needs to change, maybe it needs review, I am not trans and would like to hear from those that are to advise on this, please help me understand........ but AIBU to state that self ID is unacceptable to women, children and truly transgendered people who will suffer if the likes of Karen White are considered to be 'women'?

Anorexic people feel they are too fat.
Reality is that they are not fat, and are actually underweight.

Transsexual people feel they are the opposite sex.
Reality is that they are not the opposite sex, but that surgery and such may help them ease the dysphoria they feel about their sexed bodies.

'Transgender' people feel that stereotypes that you follow matter more than biological sex, in areas segregated by biological sex
Reality is that thats bullshit and 'gender' has no bearing on sex and everyone is a mix of traits and basically, almost every single person on the planet is 'non-binary'.

A lot of transactivists feel that women should move over and shut the fuck up and they claim that its because they are actually the opposite sex despite loving their penises. They believe women who disagree with them should be assaulted, raped or killed, or all 3 and they regularly repeat this. They call people who actually have dysphoria 'truscum' whilst claiming that they are fighting for transsexuals.
Reality is that these are just misogynists and predators whos demands should be ignored. But who present a very real risk to both transsexual people and women.

A few transactivists are decent people and actually care about both transsexual people and women. Neither they, nor transsexual people are the problem here.

Not all males are violent, but enough of them are that this is one of the reasons we segregate by sex in areas where female people are vulnerable.



There is no way to 'feel' female. Female is the biological make up of the body.

It is not clothes, hair, makeup. It's blood, flesh and bones.

If someone does not feel right within their body, their own blood, flesh and bones, it does not mean that they have the wrong blood, flesh and bones.

I feel female as well as bodily. I don't care if people don't believe me.
So I can't just dismiss it as not possible to be a thing like some are.
