We lived on the east coast of the North island of NZ for a few years, and facial tattoos there are fairly common amongst some of the Maori community. I saw a few chin tattoos (on women) and some full facial ones on men, and they looked good, as moko are tribal tattoos and fit that culture, have a history. The one’s I found confronting were the gang tattoos on Black Power or Mongrel Mob members, they felt quite threatening (or as threatening as they could be buying quilted loo roll in the supermarket, which is where I saw one guy with a gang tattoo!) I’ve never seen anyone here with a facial tattoo.

.....and the cost of Beckams tattoos would probably be the deposit on a mortgage on a house for an average working person (though in reality he will have got them free for publicity). He also doesnt risk unemployment.
