Sorry I hate tattoos.

Rosehip10 · 14/10/2018 15:29

Tattoos are horrid full stop and people who get tattoos that can't be covered with normal clothing are mad.

Particularly vile are on display tattoos at the top of the boobs.

SilverySurfer · 14/10/2018 15:29

EmperorTomatoRetchup
When ever I read or hear someone buse the word chavvy, I mentally switch off, safe in the knowledge they have nothing of value to say.

Chavvy is a brilliant word and I'm sure the PP is devastated.... not Hmm

I don't like tattoos, don't have any and think facial tattoos are ghastly. Before I retired I was in HR and would not have hired anyone with facial or multiple visible tattoos for customer/client facing roles.

Thenewdoctor · 14/10/2018 15:32

Oh dear I’m horrid and mad.

Soubriquet · 14/10/2018 15:37

Tattoos in general yes

Facial and front neck tattoos big no

pleasesleepinyourownbed · 14/10/2018 15:49

Really @StoneofDestiny that's so sad.

dustarr73 · 14/10/2018 17:25

Ronaldo doesn’t have tattoos as he is a regular blood donor.

You can have tattoos and be a blood donor

BrightonGallery7 · 14/10/2018 17:26

Ronaldo or whoever. The point remains. Look at the state of Beckham.

BrightonGallery7 · 14/10/2018 17:28

Dustarr, thank you. I thought the comment about blood donors was weird but hadn’t got around to check it.

BrightonGallery7 · 14/10/2018 17:28

...to checking

Mumminmum · 14/10/2018 17:48

The guy with the tattoo to look like a skeleton was a model, yes. He committed suicide. Had serious MH issues.

I'm not into tattos. Don't like them. (Guess I have personally known to many people with MH issues or ME ME ME syndrome get them). One of my idiot cousins has a chinese sign tattoed on his arm. If you gave him a map of the world without country names on it he wouldn't be able to place China on it. Knows nothing about China. A former coworker got the word "Fight" tattoed on her ancle after she won a race. You can't really read it. It looks like a brand name, so is a bit embarrasing.

BitchQueen90 · 14/10/2018 18:09

I have tattoos and like them but I'm not keen on facial ones.

BitchQueen90 · 14/10/2018 18:15

I hate snobbiness about tattoos as well, as if there are only certain ones that are acceptable. None of mine mean anything, I just like them and it's nobody else's business what decide I have on my skin.

SawnUpLooRoll · 14/10/2018 18:30

Part of me really wants to start a thread where we post pictures of our tattoos and MNers try to guess our jobs... but that would be quite an outing thread!

A580Hojas · 14/10/2018 18:31

It's funny that so many hate facial and neck tattoos. All tattoos give me that same feeling of revulsion.

TooManyPaws · 14/10/2018 18:34

I love tattoos but wouldn't have my face or neck done.

I respect those who do as part of their culture such as moku though. It's not part of mine.

I do have ear and nose piercings though, as well as body, arm and leg tattoos; currently thinking about a semi-colon on my forearm next to my self-harm scars. Work couldn't care less (public sector management level in a degree-compulsory position).

Thenewdoctor · 14/10/2018 18:35

I love my tatts. Every one has a meaning and they commemorate my miscarriages. I have no grave. No memorial. Those babies are as entitled to be remembered as my living children.

Judge on.

Spankyoumuchly · 14/10/2018 18:37

I wonder what happened to the Russian woman who had her online boyfriend's name tattooed in huge letters on her face the first time she met him.

Theyprobablywill · 14/10/2018 18:52

I wouldn't want to work for a judgemental cunt who wouldn't employ someone because they had visable tattoos, so it's a win win situation.

RoboticSealpup · 14/10/2018 18:53

The argument that you shouldn't judge someone for the way they look doesn't apply here. Facial tattoos are an active choice, and an anti social one. If course you can make some judgements about people based on their life choices. It's not like the gangster guy I saw on the tube with the big scorpion on his cheek was born that way.

dustarr73 · 14/10/2018 19:23

Part of me really wants to start a thread where we post pictures of our tattoos and MNers try to guess our jobs... but that would be quite an outing thread!

@SawnUpLooRoll theres a tattoo section on MN and we have photos of our tattoos over there.

NotACleverName · 14/10/2018 19:33

I'd rather be viewed as "chavvy" than a judgemental, cat's bum face turdpipe, but that's just me I guess ¯\(ツ)/¯

A580Hojas · 14/10/2018 20:15

I don't view people who have tattoos as chavvy. I just really dislike them. Afaik only 4 people I know actually have a tattoo. They are aged 56, 55, 40 and 32.

QueenDoris · 14/10/2018 20:35

I think facial tattoos done well can be classy. I have one of Prince William on one cheek, and Prince Harry on the other. Plus Prince Charles on my forehead.
