All seems to indicate that it's now crunch time for the UK. In the style of another active thread, I'd like to ask you all what you'd go for if given a binary choice between No Deal at all with the EU or Remain.
No blame game or mud slinging, just simple polite answers please.

Remain.

People who want Brexit should come up with a coherent exit strategy first.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 04/10/2018 12:47

Thanks trancepants, very useful.

DameFanny · 04/10/2018 12:49

Remain

clearingaspaceforthecat · 04/10/2018 12:53

Remain - always was remain.
Are there any new remainers here?

BrightonGallery7 · 04/10/2018 12:55

Remain. I voted for it.

WoollyMollyMonkey · 04/10/2018 12:56

Well I don’t think anyone has to worry about the Daily Fail picking this thread up eh?

BrightonGallery7 · 04/10/2018 12:57

If they were too obtuse to see that Remain was the correct option, they are certainly not going to be able to tackle that.

YeTalkShiteHen · 04/10/2018 12:57

WoollyMollyMonkey every cloud and all that Grin

MyBrexitUnicornDied · 04/10/2018 12:58

Remain. I always suspected leaving would be a mess but I had no idea it be this bad.

Eatmycheese · 04/10/2018 12:58

If someone, anyone, could outline precisely what we WILL gain by leaving not might and refrain from false prophecy or fraudulent hyperbole re £350 million to the NHS 🙄 then perhaps more people would sit up and listen.

That also excludes “taking back control” “Brexit means Brexit” “this country has a bright future” “we can hold our own” “we need to hold our nerve”

When we stop looking to prancing egomaniacs like Trump and his unicorn trade deals.

When we stop appointing morons with no competence or plan or vigilance to do a critically important piece of work, tirn up to meetings with nothing but a book on mountain fucking neering then dismiss people who have some skills but say what she doesn’t want them to.

When the single most momentous decision and its consequences are being toyed with on the back of fag packet at Chequers by a bug of chumps.

When we stop pretending full stop.

As there is not a single person who can do this then unsurpsingly its remain for me too.

It will never cease to amaze me that people threw their toys out of the pram in such a largely ill considered fashion.

grannycake · 04/10/2018 13:01

Definitely remain

BigChocFrenzy · 04/10/2018 13:02

Remain

Lottapianos · 04/10/2018 13:03

Great post Eatmycheese. It's staggering how stupid the whole thing is

ThePinkOcelot · 04/10/2018 13:06

No deal. We voted leave. We need to stick to it. There’s no going back. If we tried to stay, I can only imagine what the EU would put in place!!

Namechangemum100 · 04/10/2018 13:06

Remain

Whedon · 04/10/2018 13:06

Remain

Winterbella · 04/10/2018 13:08

^ This, It looks to me that people voted, on the whole, irrationally and based their "facts" on lies told by the campaign (which were freely admitted to after the fact.)

No one considered the Northern Irish position, except ourselves (NI result was Remain). Because the consequence of Leave was real for us and we understood it, when it won't effect your life its not considered important to take note of and to the determent of the whole of the UK now it was the single most important issue that people should've considered as they voted. I hope the outcome is not the one that is feared by so many.

YeTalkShiteHen · 04/10/2018 13:09

Scotland considered the impact of Brexit on NI.

Namechangemum100 · 04/10/2018 13:09

As someone who runs a small business responsible for 7 people's salaries I am truly terrified for what is to come, why UK why?!

Norugratsatall · 04/10/2018 13:09

Resolutely R.e.m.a.i.n.

1tisILeClerc · 04/10/2018 13:10

The UK borders are so tightly controlled that a couple of guys (or more) can 'pop over' from Russia with a phial of Novichok then go home again.

JWIM · 04/10/2018 13:10

Remain.

I know what the EU would do if we remain - nothing - we would carry on with all the rights, veto, opt outs, rebate as currently.

I can't imagine what ThePinkOcelot imagines the EU will do - it is a collective union of 28 or 27 sovereign states not some toddler throwing a tantrum.

wherearemychickens · 04/10/2018 13:12

Absolutely 100% remain.

Can I ask people who are saying remain on this thread to consider marching in London on Saturday 20th October? (If they aren't already?)

HellenaHandbasket · 04/10/2018 13:13

Remain. We shouldn't have been allowed to 'vote' without having some idea of what the options/deal would be.
