All seems to indicate that it's now crunch time for the UK. In the style of another active thread, I'd like to ask you all what you'd go for if given a binary choice between No Deal at all with the EU or Remain.
No blame game or mud slinging, just simple polite answers please.

OP posts:

Remain. Whatever the alternative.

listsandbudgets · 05/10/2018 17:28

Remain

Hyggehygge · 05/10/2018 17:29

I only read the first page but 100% Remain. Nothing could convince me otherwise. I was lucky enough to live in Europe for a number of years. I would love my DS to have the same “luxury”.

HedgehogPoo · 05/10/2018 17:30

Remain, any and all times. No contest at all and yes, I did look at all of the opposing views in case I was missing something. We were in our position of strength because of our membership of the EU, not despite it.

searose · 05/10/2018 17:34

Remsin

steppemum · 05/10/2018 17:35

remain

indistinct · 05/10/2018 17:36

@Geraldine170

Checked the link - it's actually an ONS site that looks at employee types by industry, age and gender. Didn't do an exhaustive search but couldn't find any analysis or data looking at the nationality of employees.

Worth noting that your previous statement isn't supported by the figures on gender - 2.1m men versus 0.7m women. Where did you get this view that it's EU migrants and women in manufacturing?

lostforinspiration · 05/10/2018 17:38

Remain.

Becstarlenski · 05/10/2018 17:40

Remain

lau888 · 05/10/2018 17:41

No deal.

The UK has already triggered Article 50; it would make a mockery of European legislation to not adhere to the law.

lalahotpants · 05/10/2018 17:43

No deal 100%

Hednesforder · 05/10/2018 17:43

Leave - I voted leave and nothing has changed my mind. I didn't vote to join the EU in the first place and can't wait to be free of it.

mlrmummy1 · 05/10/2018 17:44

So with all the ‘remainders’ posting....where are the ‘leavers’?

ErrolTheDragon · 05/10/2018 17:44

Remain. Even though so much damage has already been done.Sad

mlrmummy1 · 05/10/2018 17:44

Remainers grrrr damn predictive text

xmb53 · 05/10/2018 17:47

Would be more interesting if the question was "what did you vote and would now vote". Remain/Remain

AtomicSquirrel · 05/10/2018 17:47

Politics is built on lies, all the time with no exception. It has always been about making the best of a bad bunch.

indistinct · 05/10/2018 17:49

OP to answer your original question - Remain
Engage more closely with EU and address the issues.

To all those who concerned about the impact of Brexit, it is not too late to change what happens. If you're a remainer, engage constructively with leavers, raise the issues, and persuade. If you're a worried/doubtful leaver, bite the bullet and look at the wide range of information sources raising concerns about no-deal, Canada+ and other leave options, engage with respectful remainers and make up your own mind. Issue hugely affects future of all UK DCs and can not be ignored.

Helmetbymidnight · 05/10/2018 17:49

I think it’s interesting the number of people who want no deal.

I’m guessing some of them don’t understand how bad no deal would be.

SunflowerSally · 05/10/2018 17:50

Remain. 100%

indistinct · 05/10/2018 17:53

@AtomicSquirrel

Politics is not always lies. Some politicians are more truthful than others.

For interest; the notion that you can't trust anyone is actually a disinformation tactic employed in propaganda wars to undermine a people's trust in their own government and institutions. The USSR explicitly promoted this tactic during the cold war.

Diverami · 05/10/2018 18:01

Remain - if binary. But I suspect that is not on the table - so I would prefer a good soft Brexit.

WeeMadArthur · 05/10/2018 18:01

Remain. I’m surprised by how much of an unmitigated disaster the negotiations have been so far (yes, I’m probably naive). I just can’t see how we can leave now without fucking over our economy for years to come, I’m really worried now for our children’s generation bearing the brunt of this.

Mangar · 05/10/2018 18:01

No deal - confirmed by the way we’ve been treated through this entire process, I doubt we’ll be the last to leave and the process will be used as a template for others to leave once it’s all sorted

Ravenesque · 05/10/2018 18:05

Remain.
