I agree that most of it wasn't at all bitchy, but hey, what can we do? It does seem that other things are at play behind the scenes. I personally think if influencers have a monetised account, in any form, that takes them out of the 'normal mum just trying to navigate this new medium' and very much in the same category as other public figures.
I do think keeping these threads alive, particularly on the ad transparency theme, is good though. The instamums seem to behave better when the debate is fresh/current. I noticed a bit of a decline again when things were quieter on here. Did you see how many of them got the Mac lipsticks?! And recently it's been all the new farrow and ball colour samples. Some are great at saying - I've been sent this for free - others just go straight into raving about the products without mentioning how they came to have them.
