Going against the grain slightly, I loved the piece of writing CC put up today. She's really talented.

I wonder how she went from writing professionally to food banks?

honeyandmilk · 01/10/2018 19:59

MN needs to speak to a proper solicitor, like I have.

I've broken no talk guidelines, they just have a vested interest in.........

Message deleted by MNHQ. Here's a link to our Talk Guidelines.

honeyandmilk · 01/10/2018 20:11

Also @LilyMumsnet is there a reason why you're discriminating in this post? We get deleted for things other posters demonstrate?

Obviously, it's nothing to do with "someone" posting private message from Justine @ Mumsnet HQ - coincidence right?

Goes against everything you stand for!

Mumof3dragons · 01/10/2018 20:16

FOD dancing. No words.

SpiritLeveller · 01/10/2018 20:22

How is our quest for finding an insta willing to share the new ASA guidelines going @MrBull? I don't see much evidence of change in the fashion bloggers. The ones already happy to 'fess up their #gifts are still doing their thing (big tick to those bloggers), but many others not - perhaps they still haven't got to grips with the flowchart. If anything though, captions seem to be getting shorter! Perhaps in an attempt to pretend if they say nothing at all, we won't notice the new swag Wink

MrBull · 01/10/2018 20:41

No mention of the ASA guidelines that I've seen spirit. I've noticed some really shady stuff today with posters who're usually a bit better at ad disclosure. I think they're rebelling against it!

EeebyMum · 01/10/2018 20:42

@honeyandmilk why are you being deleted? Can you say without mentioning SWCNBN?

MightyMousie · 01/10/2018 20:46

@magair I agree. Her writing is really good.

SpiritLeveller · 01/10/2018 20:49

Hmmm, disappointing. Surely someone will pick it up eventually. I’ve seen some interiors bloggers do really good captions clearly explaining something was sent to them as a gift. They don’t need a hashtag then either. Nice and natural and nice and clear.

MrBull · 01/10/2018 20:52

A lot more are using the 'paid partnership with' as well, but I'm still seeing some just tagging the brand in gift posts when the new guidelines state that's not enough.

No idea if they've seen the guidelines though. Maybe we'll have to give them some time!

@mnhq

Why delete my posts? Don't like that I talk about my discrimination?

honeyandmilk · 01/10/2018 21:02

Basically we can slag the queen, the current PM - but she who cannot be named in exempt.

Funny that after she disclosed private texts between her and CEO of Mumsnet Justine!

honeyandmilk · 01/10/2018 21:03

I'm about to be suspended!

She who cannot be named has private conversations between her and Justine that she doesn't want posted.

Also, she who cannot be named will be.

I'm being discriminated against here, proof from other posts.

EvePolastri · 01/10/2018 21:17

It does seem unfair honey

Most people seem to just re-register?

CherryCone · 01/10/2018 21:24

This is all very bizarre! MNHQ seem much quicker to delete things on these threads than they are elsewhere on the board!

Thanks for answering my question the other day @MightyMousie Smile

SpiritLeveller · 01/10/2018 21:26

I once self reported a post and it took 3 requests and half a day to get it removed 🤷🏼‍♀️

This may be my eyes but when I first logged in this evening I swear that @EvePolastri 's last post was deleted by MNHQ, this was about 9:19pm. But now I can see it's there! Did I imagine the deletion message? Confused

honeyandmilk · 01/10/2018 21:43

They discriminate, it used to be a space to talk, throw in advertisers and it's a different story.

EeebyMum · 01/10/2018 21:52

@milkandhoney can you post in the reddit group

CadyHeron · 01/10/2018 22:00

Ok, as usual, the thread starts to descend into Hmm again.
5% actual discussion, the rest Hmm and now descended back into gossiping and pm me hun type posts.
As I said, Minty had it earlier on in the thread.

EeebyMum · 01/10/2018 22:04

Sorry about that- and well spotted! That deletion was a slip of the thumb and we reinstated it as quickly as we could. However, with regards to the other deletions being questioned here, we have sent mails outlining our reasons why - please do check your inboxes.

CadyHeron · 01/10/2018 22:18

Just had a look at the Scamp and Dude website that people were talking about earlier as I'd never heard of it before.
Blimey, it is quite pricey isn't it?! Grin Definitely not in my price range, they've got some nice stuff though.
It's why I don't follow many of the big name yummy mummy type accounts as I don't really relate to the lifestyle or any of the designer brands they might be promoting. I do follow some though as I like to look at how others live lol.
I know a lot will like that sort of stuff though.
