To be completely jealous of my DD who has bought jeans with proper pockets

I loathe how clothing manufacturers seem to think women don't need pockets and give us jeans with pockets you can barely stuff a tissue in.

DD has just bought jeans from Bon Marche that have real pockets. I mean REAL pockets. Her way too big phone literally disappears down into her front pocket with room to spare. Her hand fits in there up to the wrist.

I want those jeans.

And if it’s not good trouser pockets that is the tiny boob pocket on

OP I completely agree with you I hate wearing trousers / jeans with pointless tiny pockets. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I don’t want pockets.

I need to buy these. How do I justify buying jeans when I have way too many already?

All of my jeans have pockets big enough for my phone, some of them vertically - in fact the only ones that are a smaller pocket are my Levis but interestingly those are also the only mid-rise pair that I own, the rest are high-rise. Maybe you need higher rised jeans?

DH can fitbphobe, wallet and keys happily in his man pockets. I can’t even get my phone to fit in mine!

I wear mid-rise and can just about shove my phone in the front pocket sideways. DD can drop hers in upright and it drops low enough that she can sit down easily. These are the only women's jeans I've seen that you can do that with.

Why can't they just make our jeans with decent pockets?

My 3 month old son has more pockets then me and some of them are bigger. Don't know why he need them more than me

I would like to be able to buy jeans that are actually jeans, not horrible stretchy things that are deeply unflattering. Even Levi’s seems to have stopped selling actual jeans. Decent pockets would be a bonus!

I like wearing skirts and dresses, but it's really difficult to find either with pockets. Pockets are the first thing I look for. I do not want to carry a bag around with me with my valuables and all the dangers of me losing it somewhere.

We wear a uniform at work. The men's trousers have much bigger/deeper pockets than the women's and the shirts have breast pockets of a proper size.

I LOVE proper pockets. I never understand why womens’ clothes have such pathetic pockets - do manufacturers think we all have handbags wherever we go (tip to manufacturers: funnily enough I don’t have a clutch bag with me when I’m standing in a muddy field) or husbands to carry “the important things”?

I recently bought a skirt from H&M and it has huge pockets. I bloody love it.

My baby DS clothes have proper pockets, what he needs to put in them I'll never know

DS2 seems to find a use for his many pockets - fluff, leaves, random bits of tat off the floor at school, feathers, etc. I’m irritated that clothes manufacturers can foresee the need for a 4yo to have a multitude of pockets, but not an adult woman who has slightly more important items to lug about

Declutter.

Go through all your jeans, take out the useless ones and sell them on eBay or Facebook.

Then go to Bon Marche and buy the jeans you want.

Yanbu. I wear mens skinny jeans now. They have huge pockets. My phone is almost lost in them.

I've never been in Bon Marche, but I'm prepared to venture in there if they do pockets.
