Couple charged with assault for trying to buy water in Rochdale Tesco

Obviously don’t know the full facts, but the photos
Show the police being pretty heavy handed.

They look Muslim, so presume don’t drink alcohol, they have regularly buy the water from other branches of Tesco.
This behaviour by the police looks like the sort of treatment meted out by racist officers towards African Americans in the US.

I am disgusted by the thuggish behaviour of the police and I hope Mr. Hussain succeeds in his complaint to the PCC.

Surely if this kicked off while the police were in Tesco its only right they delt with it. Especially if someone did get a bottle thrown in their face hardly going to walk away and ignore it all.

You did send the bit where the man in the couple called the police over himself right? It wasn't Tesco calling them, or members of the public.. they were there and the man in the couple spotted the copper and got him involved because the security guard said no.
Things obviously escalated after that.

So by the man's actions, he is the one stopping the officer doing something more worthwhile.. not the officer himself..
