I had this on toast for supper.

My DH took one look at it and said “ that’s grounds for divorce” Grin

Obviously he a knob, and has no taste and I should LTB!

YABVU.

Just... Why?

bridgetreilly · 23/09/2018 21:28

Acceptable combination for fake vomit, certainly. Not for consumption.

BelindaTheBadger · 23/09/2018 21:29

Wow Shock.

This has to be one of the most shocking MN threads I’ve ever seen! (Half joking).

Verbena87 · 23/09/2018 21:29

Banana and pb is fine.

Pb and marmite is very salty but fine.

But all 3? Yabu. Sorry.

smashyourglasses · 23/09/2018 21:30

By marmite did you mean chocolate spread..? Confused

BarbarianMum · 23/09/2018 21:31
Biscuit

Ugh I just mentioned this thread to someone I’m sitting with and they said it sounds perfectly reasonable. I’m now looking at them very suspiciously Hmm.

Awrite · 23/09/2018 21:33

Peanut butter and banana is halfway to a pretty decent Elvis Presley concoction.

Why ruin it with Marmite?

GrumpyOldMare · 23/09/2018 21:34

Sounds heavenly!

IhatetheArchers · 23/09/2018 21:36

Yes, the perfect combination of sweet and salty. And also vegan - so bang on trend!

00100001 · 23/09/2018 21:37

It’s a delicious combination of sweet and salty.

Marmite base layer, crunchy nut whole nut butter as the mid “neutral” layer, banana on top as a sweet layer, all working together in harmony.

It’s the same as salt and sweety popcorn (sort of)

YABU. Sounds disgusting.

Bluntness100 · 23/09/2018 21:41

Are you pregnant? I can't think of any other reason someone would eat like that. Pregnancy cravings? Do you also eat soap? And coal?

SwedishEdith · 23/09/2018 21:44

I have this regularly, sans Marmite, for lunch when on my own and used to have it for dinner when single. Delicious.

AfterSchoolWorry · 23/09/2018 21:48

Vomit. Peanut butter is mank and marmite is worse. Envy

Tartsamazeballs · 23/09/2018 21:50

If I fancied that concoction I'd be doing a pregnancy test the next day.

PavlovaFaith · 23/09/2018 21:55

No.
No.
No.

TheSageofOnions · 23/09/2018 21:56

Marmite is Satan's favourite food. Peanut butter is what he eats when Hell runs out of marmite.

The banana's OK, but not on toast.

Nothing in that combination is OK.

TheSageofOnions · 23/09/2018 21:57

Do they not have baked beans in your part of the world OP. Those and marmalade are the only acceptable things to put on toast.

BumpInTheOven · 23/09/2018 21:58

YABVU...
1 plate, x3 toast ( 1x peanut butter, 1x banana, 1x marmite) would be acceptable.. all 3 on 1 is plain wrong 🙈 x

bershetmelon · 23/09/2018 22:57

The peanut butter and marmite is acceptable, unfortunately I can't stand bananas so I'd draw the line there I'm afraid.

00100001 · 24/09/2018 07:48

I think all nay sayers need to try before you judge me Grin

I had peanut butter and banana on toast this morning. I love marmite but couldn't mix it with banana!
However a cheese, cucumber and marmite sandwich is delicious.

00100001 · 24/09/2018 12:16

vampire go oooon... be daring....next time just put a bit of Marmite on the toast before the PB and banana...just a bit, only on one corner and see.

then if you don't like it, only one bite is bad.

BUT IT'S DELICIOUS!!
