To think there's a good chance we've all walked past another Mumsnetter in the street today?

I bet it's probable that we each live a few doors away from at least one other Mumsnetter.

For all we know, we could have walked past a Mumsnetter whose thread we've just replied to. Maybe that MNer we argued with yesterday was the person we just bumped into in Morrisons...

Supposedly there are only six degrees of separation between all people. I bet Mumsnet is responsible for some of those bridges!

Well I'm definitely just a couple of mins walk from another one, our dc play together and are in and out of our houses.

Nothisispatrick · 22/09/2018 19:29

Not me. I haven’t been outside today.

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 22/09/2018 19:30

I haven't been out today but have chatted with a MNetter on messenger.

SprogletsMum · 22/09/2018 19:30

I doubt it, where I live gets massively slagged off on here.

SneakyGremlins · 22/09/2018 19:30

I was out in the local town for Pokémon Go community day. Probably.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 22/09/2018 19:31

I went to Sainsburys so they were probably all on here Grin

Didntwanttochangemyname · 22/09/2018 20:08

I only saw two people today, and if they are sneaky mumsnetters I'll eat my hat!

But I like what you are saying!

SneakyGremlins · 22/09/2018 20:09

I'm a sneaky mumsnetter Grin

Grin I apologize for that joke

ellaowenmummy · 22/09/2018 20:10

To be honest I work 40 hours a week today I havnt even got dressed hahahaha

MissConductUS · 22/09/2018 20:12

It's pretty unlikely for me. I'm in the Boston area at the moment and New York is home.

I'm certainly not the only Yank on here though.

tissuebox · 22/09/2018 20:16

Not me today because I’m in bed not well, but I was wondering at the new parents meeting the other day whether there were any mners😆

TidyDancer · 22/09/2018 20:17

I've seen my home town mentioned on a thread of embarrassing moments. The poster lives about a mile from me. I've also seen my old neighbour have the piss ripped out of her on here for what she called her children but I don't know if the person who was rude about her lived nearby.

TidyDancer · 22/09/2018 20:18

Sorry, I derailed a little bit there, I haven't been out today so I haven't walked past anyone! But I'm sure there are MNers local to me was my point!

Annandale · 22/09/2018 20:19

I was at a fantastic party today, which i travelled to by train with ds, and did a bit of shopping in Waitrose. I would say 100% i was within a few yards of a mner...

LargeGlassOfPepsi · 22/09/2018 20:25

I work beside a few MNetters and I'm friends in RL with others.

In the summer break we were at the airport and one woman made a comment to her DH about a woman sitting across from her as her children were running riot. It's the first time in RL I have ever heard the comment "did you mean to be so rude?" I said to DH "thays a MNetter" he rolled his eyes 😂

doomclaw · 22/09/2018 20:32

I went to my hobby group today and the other mum that attends is certainly one. Obviously the non parents could be too but I don't think so.

I went to soft play this afternoon so I think it pretty likely one or two of the others there are MNetters as well.

SequinsOnEverything · 22/09/2018 20:42

I often say " I was reading a post on mumsnet..." and wonder if any other mumsnetters are around whose ears prick up when I say it.

CherryPavlova · 22/09/2018 20:43

I suspect I haven’t been anywhere near another mumsnetter.

HicDraconis · 22/09/2018 20:47

Definitely not in my case, I live in NZ. I think there are a few other kiwis on here but none of them live in my area.

Hatstand · 22/09/2018 21:10

I just had to open the 'annoying mum on the train' thread to make sure it wasn't me (thankfully it wasnt).
There is someone on here who I am convinced works in very close proximity to me but I can't figure out who she is irl and it's been driving me round the bend.

dontbesillyhenry · 22/09/2018 21:16

Is this a bit like the 'your never more than a foot away from a rat' theory 🤔

Grimtimes · 22/09/2018 21:17

Probably me... if I was frowning it was because your kids didn't have coats on and it was bloody freezing outside.... but I've never been one to judge Wink

SneakyGremlins · 22/09/2018 21:18

A FOOT? Shock

SequinsOnEverything · 22/09/2018 21:21

hatstand I sometimes open threads to check they aren't about me too. I think so many people know I use mumsnet that if someone had an issue with me and didn't want to say it to my face, maybe they'd start a post and hope I saw it instead.

llangennith · 22/09/2018 21:24

Not me as it's rained do heavily I haven't been out all day.
