Morning lovely lot.

I've been awake since about 4:30 with bad cramps and DD woke up at 6:30. Have washed the school uniforms etc and now I'm snuggled on the couch with a hot water bottle, a hot water (don't drink caffeine during the time of the month because it can make cramps stronger) and my bath robe. Watching old episodes of NCIS and I think I'm gonna he staying here for the day. DD is playing at the coffee table with her L.O.L dolls and she's said she wants a PJ day too.

*What are you all up to?
*
Have an absolutely wonderful day xx

Hi. I’m new to the site. I’ll be cleaning all day and making enough dinner for today & tomorrow for myself & the kids. After 6pm I’ll be picking up 2 mindees from their parents wedding & bringing them back here as I’m having them overnight. They are 3.5yrs & 10mths & it’s a looooong time since I’ve had a baby over night (my kids are 16 & 20) so I’m hoping they’ll sleep. They’ll be picked up at 1pm on Sunday at which point I will take to the sofa or the bed depending how bad the night was lol and I’ll be doing nothing for the rest of the day (hence 2 days of dinners) other than dropping dd to train to go back to college.

Violetroselily · 22/09/2018 11:27

I'm house and cat sitting this weekend. I've had a lovely sausage baguette for lunch and now I'm going to clean the bathrooms. This evening will be Strictly and pasta bake.

Chapterandverse · 22/09/2018 11:37

I had an hour's gym at 6.30am.

Home for 7.40am and took the dog for a walk (not long because she's just a wee pup)

Came home and ironed 10 school shirts for the kids (had been washing when I was gymming and drying when walking dog)

Took DS to his class for 10am, called with my sister and then shop before picking ds up at 11 and am sitting now enjoying a coffee and two pieces of white bread toasted and spread with real butter and home made (not by me) marmalade.

Am going to start into the housework now. Dh is in bed after a night shift so I can get it all done apart from hoovering!

Later we might go to town and later still teenage dd needs dropped to a party and picked up again (am negotiating a home time with her as we speak!)

elQuintoConyo · 22/09/2018 11:44

Your day sounds crampy but chilled - hope you feel better soon OP.

We were out until 1am this morning, local festival. DS fell asleep on the bus! We are at rugby until about 4pm: training, game, then a bbq. DS is just 7yo so the training is mostly playing chase with his best friend.

This afternoon will probably be sofa and popcorn with Alvin and the Shitmunks trilogy. Oh yay Hmm

Dog will get a second walk with DH, i did this mimorning's walk so i have nixed the second Grin

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 22/09/2018 11:55

Just about to make sarnies for everyone for dinner, DH and I did housework together this morning while DS and DD played. Then this afternoon DH is taking them both to the park to give me some time on my own and I'll be watching an Aurora Teagarden film! They are so cheesy but easy watching. Then tonight do tea for about 5pm, baths, kids in bed, then me and DH are going to watch Killing Eve after I saw a thread on here saying how good it is!

Sidalee7 · 22/09/2018 12:00

Ds1 fell asleep in my bed and we both woke up at 9.30! So nice after a tough long week.
Both DC's with their dad until tomorrow morning, do I have been pottering around doing chores and am now drinking coffee reading Conversations with Friends in bed.
Meeting a friend for lunch and more friends for early drinks.
Perfect Saturday!

Basecamp65 · 22/09/2018 12:06

I went to bed last night crossing my fingers and yes.....this morning my cold is so bad I can warrant a day on the sofa watching Netflix.

mumof2sarah · 22/09/2018 12:10

I'm loving seeing all your wonderful days. From clubs with children, parties, chill outs, lie ins, movies and Netflix, preparing for babies, decorating, walks and runs, exercising, pub lunches and drinks, friends and family visits and everything in between. It's nice to have a positive post and it's wonderful to see what every one else is up to.

I'm starting to feel a bit brighter so I'm going to have a quick wash, do a bit of a tidy round and maybe try and have a walk and get some fresh air. I think this evening will be a bed on the floor, takeaway and movie with my DD's xx

Currently holidaying in England, staying in a seaside village on the south coast. It’s been pouring rain all day.

Currently perched by my favourite window looking out at the sea, and drinking a massive mug of tea.

Can’t see too much more happening today!

PipeTheFuckDown · 22/09/2018 12:21

Chill day here too.

Baking brownies, crafts, reading and TV. All 3DC are worn out from a long week.

yawning801 · 22/09/2018 12:25

Sniffing, sneezing, snuffling and MN-ing. I've got a stinking cold, barely eaten anything since Thursday, spent most of yesterday alternately sleeping, nearly collapsing or throwing up due to dizziness. Now wondering if it's flu. Probably having pizza for dinner, don't know if I'll be awake long enough to watch Strictly.

DolorestheNewt · 22/09/2018 12:29

Mostly clock-watching to see when I can next take a painkiller - I have two separate tooth infections at the same time (lucky me) and this is going to be a very long weekend. Otherwise, I'm about to get out of bed have a bath and badger DS to do some homework or revision as this is his GCSE year, and I will be going to work later.

Hope all of us who are suffering for one reason or another have a better day soon! xx

sunshineandshowers21 · 22/09/2018 12:36

pyjama day! both my boys are in their pyjamas playing with lego and i’m in my fluffy onesie snuggling on the sofa with the dog watching bugsy malone. i’ll be making cakes later for my eldest’s birthday tomorrow and then ordering a chinese for our tea 👍🏻

Mrsharrison · 22/09/2018 13:12

I'm lazy. Woke at 10am. Had coffee while catching up on news. Just got out of a long bath. Will spend ages on hair and make up. Will wander into town - i want to buy a long black jumper. Then meet friends for drinks that may last into the night. Or I'll come home early and batch cook.

FinnegansWhiskers · 22/09/2018 13:21

Im still in my pj's. We have had visitors this morning Confused Off to get dressed, take the dogs for a long beach walk, in the rain. Fish and chips from the best chippy in Wales. Come home. Long soak in the bath. Into clean pj's and dressing gown. Open a bottle of wine and watch X Factor (just because I can as I have the remote tonight as DH is going to a works do and DD is staying at a friends). Happy days! 😊

Hope you feel better soon OP Flowers

Sallystyle · 22/09/2018 13:24

I had three hours sleep after a night shift. My mum is now here and we are going clothes shopping.

Hannah4banana · 22/09/2018 13:24

Finished a busy nightshift at 8 this morning then back kn tonight for another 16 hour shif from 6pm. Looking forward to a date night tomorrow!

MollysGirl · 22/09/2018 13:29

I woke early with a back pain after furniture wrangling yesterday. Went to an early morning hot yoga class - pain gone yay!!
Some grocery shopping. Now I’m gonna have a small siesta and get up, get prettied up and go to the cinema with my new guy. It’s at the lovely butterflies/exciting stage WinkSmile

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 22/09/2018 13:36

It's DS1's 14th birthday today! He's been playing his new Mario Kart game all morning, but DH has taken him out. For a bit of father-son bonding? Er, no; DH needs a new computer fag 🙄 So I have used the time productively not and made some peanut butter ice cream. When they come back, we'll figure out what the rest of the day holds and have chicken burgers and birthday cake for dinner.

Nunyabusiness · 22/09/2018 13:39

Housework here, I've been a bit slack of late so there's more than usual but I really must put the effort in and get back on top of it, living in a hovel is not doing much good for my mental state.

HerRoyalNotness · 22/09/2018 13:40

I need to finish a uni assignment. Waaaah. Then meeting a friend to see C Robin this afternoon with the kids

I just want to lie on the couch and have someone take care of everything

LaLaLanded · 22/09/2018 13:57

Took DS for hot chocolate and swimming, then we went for a little shop (new jumper, pants and socks for him, new coat for me).

Lunch at home and now we’re under a blanket on the sofa watching Matilda. X will pick DS up at 3 so then I’ll have a nice bath and get ready to go out for dinner with friends this evening.

Housework tomorrow! Doing a complete audit of DS and my clothes as they seem to be multiplying...

Aebj · 22/09/2018 14:01

We are in Australia
Had a fantastic Saturday. The weather has finally realised that we are now in spring!!
The kids have just started a two week spring break.
Oldest ds has gone on army cadet camp for 2 weeks
Ds2 and I went to the city to watch the semi final footy match. Go the eagles😂😂

lexi727 · 22/09/2018 14:08

DH has taken DS out for the entire day! So DD 6 weeks and I are currently in bed watching Killing Eve (well I am, she's asleep). Ocado shop will be here in 45 mins and I may have added some last minute treats on the 11pm feed last night so I am excited to eat. When DS gets back he will be having tea and a bath and then going straight to bed for an early night. I will then probably transfer myself from bed to the sofa to have a movie night with DH.
