I don't get why people stockpile cleaning stuff! I have 1 bottle Zoflora, 1 bleach , 1 Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner, 1 Mr Muscle window cleaner, 1 bottle of fairy liquid! Would rather have money sitting in my bank instead of my cupboard.

A bloody men!
I unfollowed her as it was so boring, I'm sure she's lovely irl but watching the same shit every day was annoying.
The thing that worries me most is people mixing these potions....with children in the house! I have a three month old and I'm so wary of how I clean.
With the global warming issues going on at the moment these people with mass followings should be more considerate with their use of toxins and plastics.
I'm no green party enthusiast it just seems so irresponsible as so many people are copying.

librarylover53 · 16/10/2018 10:14

🙌 for that article. In addition to the points made, what is also infuriating me about this is the promotion of plastics and chemicals that are not only bad for health, but are destroying our planet! At a time when everyone really should be stepping up and thinking about what they can do, this is awful. Infuriating. Stupid and infuriating. What is wrong with people?!

staydazzling · 16/10/2018 10:20

I think if its on deal then yeah i feel pretty proud of myself, Grin but not for the sake.

finks100 · 16/10/2018 10:21

The article is great but misses the huge point about environmental impact of the over use of chemicals.
The comments are equally worth a read!

librarylover53 · 16/10/2018 10:25

Honestly, the sooner a more intelligent life force comes and destroys us, the better. Can you just imagine watching planet earth and thinking what the absolute.... so they know they're destroying their planet? Yep! So they know they only have a fairly short time alive as a human and some choose to spend it cleaning already clean items, for others to watch? Yep! Jesus wept.

Bubba1234 · 16/10/2018 15:49

Library I agree

woollytights · 16/10/2018 17:26

It will be interesting to see what all these who profess to be "cleaning mad" turn out like once the craze is over. I know people who've never uttered a word about cleaning before who now claim it's their obsession and laugh about how weird and crazy they are for loving sponges and wipes.

Twinsmeannosleep · 16/10/2018 21:13

I've just read the Metro article and the comments and I'm shocked by the vitriol! These are the same people that froth at the mouth when anyone criticises Mrs Hinch! One poster commented that the writer's house must be a hovel! An apt 1950s insult there! You're proving the writer right!

blackvelvetband · 16/10/2018 22:16

@librarylover53 you win mumsnet today 🙌🙌

blackvelvetband · 16/10/2018 22:20

I wonder whether she has been reading this thread because she has made an effort to post some before and after 'cleaning'
She cleaned the number on her front door and a bloody outside window ledge.
I'm actually getting annoyed at myself for going back to it every day! This is just crazy, I don't get it

Homeinspo · 17/10/2018 07:41

Has anyone seen the organised mums story?
The army have been bullying her again, poor lass can't get a break!
And yet Hinch's response was "you have a hate campaign against me" so she thinks it is ok for people to attach others? What a disgusting thing to say.

It has all gone too far and it is one massive cult. Her cleaning isn't even that good, she is running out of ideas clearly. The phase will die down soon as her constant swipe ups for her to make money is annoying!

Twinsmeannosleep · 17/10/2018 07:49

Just watched it. How a person can conflate a message of not mixing chemicals with a smear campaign is just a level of hyper sensitivity I've not seen before.

This mob mentality is getting ridiculous!

Agree, this far needs die then we need to bury it!

Homeinspo · 17/10/2018 07:54

I agree completely, her mixing chemicals is so dangerous and yet she just thinks everyone is jealous? It is just called common sense and getting the message out their before some harms them self!

This whole army thing is an insult to people actually in the army.

JessicaPeach · 17/10/2018 07:56

I’m going to make a report to the ASA today.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 17/10/2018 08:00

@blackvelvetband, I think that. I think she makes lots of little acid remarks in her commentaries on her stories. Although I'm sure we aren't the only ones voicing some critical opinions on her so could be from anywhere.

Homeinspo · 17/10/2018 08:38

How do you contact the ASA?

Instacrumb · 17/10/2018 08:40

And yet Hinch's response was "you have a hate campaign against me" so she thinks it is ok for people to attach others? What a disgusting thing to say

Exactly. But it's the end of the world when a few people (haters) dare to call her out on her bullshit yet she'll say 'oh my hinchers have got my back i can't believe I've got a whole army'. She's a complete narcissist. Who does she think she is, some sort of dictator?

@jessicapeach I've also reported her to ASA. You need lots of screenshots of her af links etc before they disappear from her stories!

babbscrabbs · 17/10/2018 08:47

I don't know what the ASA will do unless it's an ad by/for one of the products where she's been told what to say/do?

The ASA doesn't deal with individuals to my knowledge.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 17/10/2018 08:52

I have unfollowed now. It's all getting a bit tired/staged. I also preferred watching her with the sound off, her voice sounds like a scary ec boss of mine!

babbscrabbs · 17/10/2018 08:52

Yes @librarylover

Mrs Hinch, if you are reading this, please put the planet and human race first, all these harsh chemicals and plastic bottles and cleaning tools are damaging for the environment and we ALL need to be responsible and do our bit. That goes for all your followers too who are choosing to copy you. If you made a change publically to natural and sustainable products and urged followers to do the same, show them how, just think of the genuine positive impact you could have on the planet. Not pretend Instagram impact. Please use your influence for good. We don't have long.

JessicaPeach · 17/10/2018 09:08

Babbs, not because of the organised mum/bullying but because she should be following the rules. She currently won’t follow/pleads ignorance and this will cut that part of at the legs at least!

Cjngs · 17/10/2018 09:17

Yes the ASA do deal with individuals.
I’ve reported and got an Instagram who wasn’t declaring posts changed.
Google ASA and an easy link comes up to fill in. You just need a few screen shots of undeclared posts.
They get back to you once they’ve checked it out and inform you of action taken.

babbscrabbs · 17/10/2018 09:36

Ah so she's doing ads but not putting #AD on them clearly?

Yeah no excuse for that at all.

TinyTwat · 17/10/2018 09:53

Wow just watched the organised mum story about Mrs Hinch's followers hounding her. Just how insecure must Mrs Hinch be to set her flying monkeys on someone who has been around forever. Poor Gemma having to put up with this shit.

nipersvest · 17/10/2018 10:31

Just watched those stories too, the pack mentality of insta followers is a weird phenomena, I think it stems from people who become way too over invested in their insta idols.

TOM voicing the idea of not mixing cleaning products, its not a new concept, its common sense and basic chemistry that most people should have covered in school, pretty good article here on it, from 2013 I might add, so way before Mrs Hinch came on the scene.
