I don't get why people stockpile cleaning stuff! I have 1 bottle Zoflora, 1 bleach , 1 Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner, 1 Mr Muscle window cleaner, 1 bottle of fairy liquid! Would rather have money sitting in my bank instead of my cupboard.

I like having the knowledge I’m stocked up. If I’m down to one bottle of something it makes my teeth itch.

JessicaPeach · 29/09/2018 20:54

I can’t either, wow! I would LOVE to get sent all that swag!

None of it properly tagged though. No excuses with that many followers

Maelstrop · 29/09/2018 21:01

I buy all sorts of cleaning products, stain remover, Shake ‘n’ Vac, never bloody use any of them! I got Zolfora, 70’s throwback, mother used it, hated the stench.

At the max, I use Dettol diluted spray when the dog shits in the kitchen. Parts of the floor are very clean!

FESus · 07/10/2018 16:54

She seems like a lovely woman and her stories make me smile

But the fetishisation of women and domestic work is a bit sad.

coffeekittens · 07/10/2018 16:56

I do enjoy watching her but I can’t stand the stockpiling craze that she’s caused as I’m finding it really hard to buy cleaning products that I’d normally buy in stock anywhere :(

catinboots9 · 07/10/2018 21:18

Oooh there is cleaning beef on IG tonight

catinboots9 · 07/10/2018 21:19

People not happy with Mrs H for stealing their cleaning tips and not crediting them

MaHeidsGouping · 07/10/2018 21:23

Who is having beef on IG?

I like watching Mrs Hinch but I'm definitely buy one bottle at a time person. I can't remember her name but I like the Scottish IG, mainly because she swears and will say she can't be arsed plus she doesn't live in a showhome.

catinboots9 · 07/10/2018 23:58

Little Home Bird is beefing at Mrs Hinch on stories

BakedBeans47 · 08/10/2018 00:01

YANBU. I don’t get it either. The shops are full of this stuff all the time, I don’t know why anyone needs 20 bottles of the same scent zoflora.

I also don’t know why her fans use zoflora for everything, in washing and all sorts not to mention spraying it around everywhere like perfume.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 08/10/2018 00:28

The cleaning aisle in my local Savers was bare in quite a few places this morning! I can only assume it got Hinched!

I do like to see Mrs Hinch for the odd tip (I am dyspraxic so sometimes her walk throughs help me check I'm doing something right) but a lot of it is either very obvious or overkill- that cushion mix is weird and unnecessary and I have been giving my sink & sides an evening wipe down for ages (although my cloths don't nap in the sink, they are wrung out & live on hooks)not exactly a novel concept to many, I'm sure? I also agree that she overdoes a lot of tasks. That house is spotless but bathed in too many chemicals- why keep doing weekly/fortnightly/monthly tasks almost daily?

I also have a few spare items/the odd offer multi buy under my sink but am a bit Shock at some of those narnias. Huge waste of space & money. I'm sure she's in hospital because she's either eradicated her own immune system or she's inhaled too much glade pine & zoflora. Also, sweet as she is, that clarty grey house is my idea of decor hell, sorry Mrs H.

MaHeidsGouping · 08/10/2018 08:51

Her recent hospital stay was because she had a blood clot in her leg.

I watched one of her stories and a online shop had her favourite products for sale, I swiped up for noseyness to see and I was placed in a online queue....there were also 500odd people before me! I wonder how much commission she got that day.

nipersvest · 08/10/2018 10:03

I'm not quite sure what to make of Mrs Hinch but the speed of her social media rise has been quite fascinating.

The ecosystem surrounding her house must be suffering though from all those chemicals.

Beebopdooowopdo · 08/10/2018 10:10

I am using some of the products and finding life is easier if you get a product that has been designed specifically for a job! Rather than just using a cleaning spray for everything. Also the different cloths give a better finish.

Apart from that I am now extremely bored of watching her put her sink “to bed” and spraying comfort over her sofa. It is all that seems to happen. Also the bombardment of ads and products she is being sent has turned me right off. I like to see genuine cleaning tips and reviews, not someone who is cashing in. Good for her in some ways, I think we all would do it too, but it is now boring for me...

MaHeidsGouping · 08/10/2018 10:15

I can't believe how quickly things sell out once she mentions a item then does a link to it, she was sent a Shark hoover..now sold out, turbo mops all sold out, makeup brushes all sold out. Even the dog is being sent freebies.

catinboots9 · 08/10/2018 11:07

You're right @Beebopdooowopdo it is getting boring. Just cleaning the same things over and over. I much prefer littlemissmops who is a professional cleaner and does lots of end of tenancy cleans. Really good before and after pics.

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 08/10/2018 11:53

Iv actually really gone off her. I can’t believe she’s bringing merch out ffs 🙈 the group on Facebook is so bitchy.

I feel sorry for the original cleaners on Facebook. I would be livid if it was me 🙈

peachgreen · 08/10/2018 12:00

Team Organised Mum here - she's not trying to start a cult and her home actually looks like someone lives there. Can't stand all the grey and white inspirational quotes on Mrs Hinch's walls and honestly, she's encouraging a very unhealthy way of life in my opinion, not just with all the rampant consumerism and chemicals but also by setting yet more unattainable standards for women to think they have to meet. Fine if she genuinely enjoys cleaning that much but I dread to think how many women out there are now beating themselves up over not having an immaculate home and therefore missing out on time with their children, their spouses and for themselves because of it. And I say that as someone who enjoys and often prioritises cleaning. If anything Mrs Hinch has made me more relaxed about it - I don't want to end up like that!

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 08/10/2018 13:26

Mrs Hinch seems sweet & I'm glad her cleaning helps her, but I do just think it's too much.

catinboots9 · 08/10/2018 19:07

I'm TOMM too. She actually is trying to make people clean less, not more. Her stories are more about methods/routines rather than products. She does do swipe up links but comes across as honest and likeable so I don't seem to mind that!

Mrs Hinch's 'army' are a typical stupid hive mind. No real content to her stories. Just a load of people jumping on a bandwagon. It reminds me of the Alfie's Army hysteria.

I love social media but this shit makes me want to weep and delete the lot.

littlehomebird is really beefing at Mrs H again on stories tonight.

I find it all fascinating.

Beebopdooowopdo · 08/10/2018 19:24

It’s quite interesting, the etiquette for insta cleaners... are they quite protective over their cleaning tips? Why should anyone credit anyone else, after all nobody is actually coming up with anything new are they. Is there a general rule they should follow and Mrs Hinch is breaking it? I don’t know and don’t really care but it is quite intriguing how Instagram has it’s own set of rules Smile

MaHeidsGouping · 08/10/2018 19:34

I've followed littlehomebird after this reading this thread, I watched her rant earlier but the photo clicked onto the next one too fast so didn't get a good read!

I wonder if this IG cleaner is annoyed that she promoted the Minky first.

Maheids you can hold your finger on the screen while a story is on to stop it from moving to the next screen. You can rewatch stories by clicking on the persons profile pic

MaHeidsGouping · 08/10/2018 20:28

Haha oh thankgod for that, I'll need to checkout all the profiles now 🙈. I thought once you watched the story it disappeared, saying that I have only started watching the stories last week when I first read about Mrs Hinch on here.

Lelly0503 · 08/10/2018 20:46

I started following cleaning accounts around a year ago when I was pregnant and nesting. There was no Mrs Hinch then some of the accounts I first followed are still around now, and the tips she uses are from those accounts. The craziness just comes from the sheer amount of followers she has. Within the ‘cleaning community’ people tend to say tip from @soandso and credit the person who ‘invented’ the tip. I can see why these accounts are pissed off seeing her make a mint from usuing thier tips. However she does have an infectious personality and does put a funny twist on things. I just don’t see her doing anything I haven’t seen before
