Looked at the nutritional value - 54g of sugar

I shouldn't have looked.

I feel sick and yet it was almost worth it....

I know I'm going to feel like crap tomo - anybody else do this - or just me....?

Is that all?

Wispaismyfave · 19/09/2018 16:58

It was my birthday the other day so the house is full of cake and chocolate, pretty sure I've grazed on double that today. Wispa bites (lol obvs), thorntons, some surprisingly nice asda butterscotch flavoured chocolate and a lemon cake for anyone interested. It was totally worth the 500g of sugar!

I'm breastfeeding so I only soak up half of it right Grin?!

VelociraptorRex · 19/09/2018 16:59

@BobbinThreadbare123 Grin that's my idea of sharing too!!

dalmatianmad · 19/09/2018 17:02

Why will you feel crap tomorrow?

ShoppingOnesSelfFit · 19/09/2018 17:02

Well I feel sick and shaky and have a headache - I knew this would happen but just gorged.

Why don't I do this with fruit or vegetables?

Trying to switch to dark chocolate to lower the sweet tooth...

This is only 100g and I'm quite capable of eating the lot Grin it's nothing but a taste. Wink

I've just eaten 125g of chocolate
QueenoftheNights · 19/09/2018 17:06

well it sounds a lot to me Confused

it's almost twice the maximum daily upper limit for sugar (30gms.)

Not sure why so many posters are saying 'there there, it's fine.'

It's not fine.

Maybe buy yourself 70% cocoa and allow yourself a square or two a day.

VelociraptorRex that's because you're smart and you know you need the calcium from the milk! Grin

oohyoudevilyou · 19/09/2018 17:08

What brand of chocolate? Dark chocolate doesn't work for me - has to be Galaxy or some other kind of sweet milky chocolate. My favourite for gorging on (and feeling like shite for next 24 hours) is the massive suicide bar of Milky Bar Grin

adaline · 19/09/2018 17:09

Not sure why so many posters are saying 'there there, it's fine.'

Because it's clearly a one-off! There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with going over the daily "limit" for anything as long as you don't do it everyday.

and most people don't pay attention to any government imposed limits on food

theunsure · 19/09/2018 17:10

@IsTheRainEverComingBack
I ate an entire sharing bag of giant Buttons to myself yesterday and I’m not sorry.

So did I! I shared them with myself - bugger sharing them with anyone else.

Tinkobell · 19/09/2018 17:10

Get better chocolate, you'll find you need and eat less of it. Ombar mylk is my current fave. £2.99 - ouch! But a bar lasts a good week and I don't smoke or drink too much, so that justifies it to me.

MissKummerspeck · 19/09/2018 17:10

Good on ya

aperolspritzplease · 19/09/2018 17:11

That's not actually that much - even it out across a week.

Oysterbabe · 19/09/2018 17:11

The only thing stopping me from pounding half a packet of chocolate digestives right now is that my husband keeps them in the fucking fridge.

NameChanger22 · 19/09/2018 17:12

I eat that much every day. I'm still alive.

vandrew4 · 19/09/2018 17:14

What chocolate was it? even dark chocolate that's 625 calories . but I guess if you have that instead of a dinner it's not too bad

SuperVeggie · 19/09/2018 17:14

Story of my life. I knew I had a problem when I started thinking that the big bags of giant buttons (about 120g I think) weren't really enough, and being glad when I saw the new extra large sharing bag (200-250g) come out. I have a proper chocolate addiction though...

sunshineNdaisies · 19/09/2018 17:14

I used to eat at least that on a daily basis before SW so.....shrugs

All you're doing is making me want a massive bar of dairy milk now

ifonly4 · 19/09/2018 17:15

Wished I hadn't read your post, I could just scoff some diary milk now. I nagged DH to cut back on drinking so much a few weeks ago, one of my reasons being the amount of sugar, I can hardly phone him now and ask him to buy some chocolate on the way home can I?!

PolkaDoting · 19/09/2018 17:15

I feel sick and shaky and have a headache

I rather suspect this is psychosomatic.

explodingid · 19/09/2018 17:21

I feel really spaced out when I have too much sugar. My body just can't cope with it anymore, so yes it does make you feel bad and even a one off has horrible side effects.

vandrew4 · 19/09/2018 17:22

I used to eat at least that on a daily basis before SW so
well the fact you were at SW implies you were overweight so maybe eating that amount of chocolate isn't a good idea?

vampirethriller · 19/09/2018 17:25

125g isn't even getting startedGrin and I never share a sharing bag, either.
