There must be someone out there so has heard of it or has been?
It's a new attraction in Brentwood Essex, a 4D horror experience.
There is a room 13 thay apparently.is so scary that they don't believe anyone could stand it and therr is a 2 page waiver to sign before entering.

Anyone know what happens in room 13 ?

I love to watch horror movies. But this all sounds horrible. Would not go near it or the people who are fascinated by this.

GrumpyOldMare · 20/09/2018 13:30

No no no no and no. The verbal abuse from the agressor takes me right back to my ex husband and the physical violence that followed. I could never go in there.

DoYouLikeBasghetti · 20/09/2018 13:34

I'm now desperate to know what's in room 13, but I'm far too much of a wimp to ever do it myself Grin

Cornettoninja · 20/09/2018 13:40

This intrigues me I have to admit and reminds me of the file Fear Inc.

Room 13 though.... I’m nosey enough to want to know exactly what happens but I’m unsure how long it will be before they hit trouble with that - either by someone deciding the waiver means nothing (you can’t, strictly speaking, legally consent to someone hurting you can you?) or inducing a heart attack or similar in someone who didn’t know they were physically not fit enough.

AlwaysFuckingTired · 20/09/2018 13:40

Surely there can't be actual bodily harm involved like the review implies?

Cornettoninja · 20/09/2018 13:40

File=film

peachgreen · 20/09/2018 13:41

People are so weird (but I so want to know what's in there, so I guess I'm weird too!)

HeywitchDoctor · 20/09/2018 14:22

Massive trigger warning here...................

I heard room 13 involves you being hung and tortured. you can only stop it by using a safeword supposidly.

SinkGirl · 20/09/2018 14:23

Hung?!

HeywitchDoctor · 20/09/2018 14:26

SinkGirl thats what i was tols apparantly in part of it its a torture thing you are hung from. maybe its a load of balls but thats what i was told. I certainly wont be trying it to find out.

Keel · 20/09/2018 14:33

It sounds like the plot of a dodgy horror film

Keel · 20/09/2018 14:38

The guy in the review pic looks like Alan Carr!

IamPickleRick · 20/09/2018 14:50

Hanged.

I wonder if it will have trip advisor reviews after the first few outings 😂 Hereditary was supposed to be the scariest horror ever and people in the cinema were laughing while we saw it!

I might have a little look online at this... very intriguing.

TheBeatGoesOnandOn · 20/09/2018 14:50

If I was not visually impaired I'd so do room 13.

I'm a bit of a sadomacho though 😀

InterstellarSleepingElla · 20/09/2018 16:33

Not sure if I need a TRIGGER WARNING but including one just in case.

I have read on a review that room 13 involves the use of water (so I suspect something like water boarding, that you will be physically and emotionally 'roughed up' and is not recommended by those who have suffered emotional or physical abuse or those with psychological health issues. And if you attempt to fight back then they get rougher. There is a safe word to get out.

UpstartCrow · 20/09/2018 16:37

I can't remember actual words, I'd be shit with a safe word.

There used to be a group of ex soldiers who would kidnap you off the street and torture you as an experience. It was quite expensive.

HeywitchDoctor · 20/09/2018 16:37

InterstellarSleepingElla yeah iv head that aswell. I havent read any reviews but without giving too much away one of my BIL is involved with this "attraction" each room 13 is supposed to be different.

InterstellarSleepingElla · 20/09/2018 16:38

*not recommended for those not by those

adaline · 20/09/2018 16:40

There are some horror houses in America that properly involve torture - physical and mental. They sound horrific to me but they obviously appeal to some people.

PippaPug · 20/09/2018 16:54

I live near this and was wondering about going 🤔 I like the haunted houses things which pop up around Halloween such as the Cursed, but at £38 it’s rather expensive so unsure about going!

liverbird10 · 20/09/2018 16:55

I'm a horror fan but room 13? Fook that shit.

0teaandtoast0 · 20/09/2018 16:56

How the hell is this kind of stuff (the link the PP posted above as well as Room 13) legal?!

teaandtoast · 20/09/2018 16:57

How could you take it seriously? You know they're actors.

SinkGirl · 20/09/2018 17:02

Well if they’re seriously torturing you, them being actors wouldn’t be that relevant!

RabbityMcRabbit · 20/09/2018 17:17

Why on earth would anyone pay for that and I'd really worry about the kind of people who are prepared to "work there and do the abuse. Only a matter of time before it goes too far and someone gets seriously hurt or worse imo
