There’s a rather good US novelist called Richard North Patterson. He writes lengthy, heavy legal/political procedurals. Sort of Henry James crossed with John Grisham.

The Kavanaugh hearing has gone completely off the rails now as Graham takes the floor to protect Kavanaugh when he refused to agree to an FBI interview.

I don't know where things go from here. Graham has worked v hard for the President and I hope he can sleep at night.

Goodness, such righteous indignation from Graham! I thought he was going to stalk off in high dudgeon. Or at least a huff if dudgeon is beyond his emotional repertoire. So much shit spewed! It'd be entertaining if it weren't such an important occasion with so much at stake.

Am only marginally buoyed by my son who's started psychology and has been learning about body language. He came though the living room. Had no idea what I was watching. I asked him to sit and watch Kavanaugh a bit and say what he thought.

The eye movements, the sniffing, his mouth movements, how his nose deflated, inflated. The leaning forwards and back. The shaky voice throughout. Stronger when he felt in control. Putting his left hand in his pocket when he felt uncomfortable at a question.

That was a fairly tame bit, after the histrionics. Now he's off to bed but if he has a project this term on body language, I know what I'd recommend.

I feel like a drinking game of taking a drink whenever Kav mentions sports or his school athletics.

Except I'm a lightweight and would be passed out within the next 15 minutes!

I would challenge anyone to find a single Google hit that describes the term as a drinking game

It says 'Skis with ...' so abbreviation for brewskis absolutely makes sense. He is such a liar.

I'm finding this very depressing you will be surprised to hear Christine Ford was credible, transparent, helpful.

Kavanaugh is angry, partisan, defensiveness and lying.

And yet Kavanaugh is being defended and has become the victim. And he will be confirmed.

Listening to MSNBC, the commentator says the President is thrilled with Kavanaugh and his willingness to fight. I hope to God just one of the GOP senators has the guts to vote against.

fox news anchors now fully all over kavanaugh, thought graham did amazingly, they're all suggesting he's in the clear.
