Urghhh I’m on the other side of this. I get on very very well with a dad in my daughters school. The mother keeps trying to insinuate we ‘always’ talk or ‘always’ end up talking - we don’t. It’s annoying. We genuinely just really get on and share a similar Interest but becasue of her I now try to keep it brief if I see him.

I think there's been a few lately to the effect of DP has been texting someone from work and the topic wasn't work / DP has been talking to someone at work / DP has a female friend.
A popular response seems to be snooping is totally reasonable, it's an emotional affair, it needs nipping in the bud, he's gaslighting if he denies anything's going on etx.

Oh I've seen those. I just don't think it's fair to compare women posting about their husbands' having a thing for someone with women posting about their husbands accusing them of having a thing for someone, as we are only getting the woman's perspective in both cases.

i think if a man posted about his wife and another man regularly staring at eachother yet only talking to eachother when he wasn't there, I would tell him to trust his instincts too.

You dp has made a friend ( which he is entitled to) but it makes you upset when they speak so clearly they try not to when you’re there.
Maybe if you try to be more approachable with her things will change!
