So the pruge of the Moderates has started
But the villagers with their stralinist pitch forks have missed one important thing

That you can win an election no matter how increased your member ship is Mr Corbyn will need to convince floating voters Tory’s and UKIP voters to vote for him

And he can pose with grime artists and student unhook reps who will alll sing oohhhb Jeremy Corbyn turn up to the rallies but don’t vote in any noteable numbers to change much and trans people only make up about 1% of the population so......

I'm quite shocked. I was brought up in a labour household - socialist not Marxist!

My parents believed in fairness and helping those less fortunate - in society as a whole. It wasn't a party where they seemed to hate the rich and business owners. And it didn't have the same about of cronies and mates.

But that was in the old days. It's very different now.

PolkerrisBeach · 08/09/2018 09:05

They understand.

They don't care. The Labour party which existed 5 or 10 years ago no longer exists. It's been hijacked by a group of extremists.

1981fishgut · 08/09/2018 09:06

I actually find he’s is diffrent from trump but the same in many odd ways

He’s popularlist
He engages in Identity politics
And pretends to care about the poor whilest living in wealth only others can imagine
He is a rasict
And has jumped on the fake news wagon like a demon

Also is very hostile to the press and only engages with very left wing platforms he hardly even engages with guradian hardly a right wing news rag

1981fishgut · 08/09/2018 09:08

I man do they really think they could appeal to Tory voters with

Diane abott
John mc Donald
And ohhhhh Jeremy Corbyn

You can see even tom whatson thinks the hole thing is horse shit and he’s hardly to the right of the party

OP posts:
AsAProfessionalFekko · 08/09/2018 09:09

They dont speak of society - just 'us'. Like bloody Wolfie Smith.

Neshoma · 08/09/2018 09:12

Diane abott
John mc Donald
And ohhhhh Jeremy Corbyn

Bunch of anti semitic muppets.

Stompythedinosaur · 08/09/2018 09:13

They have a different political perspective to you.

You are suggesting that political groups should alter what principles they support to appeal to the largest majority to get into power. I would prefer political groups to have a moral stance and express express why people should support it. Even if they don't get into power.

1981fishgut · 08/09/2018 09:18

Stompythedinosaur

I am suggesting with out getting into power you cannot effect any change they definitely not doing a effective job in opposition

If not then your just a lobbying group and a far left fringe one at that

Moderates win the day fringe loons create chos

venezuela any one
Oh yes got to love the freedom the red nuts and brought the Chinese

OP posts:
MakeLemonade · 08/09/2018 09:19

What use is a moral stance if you can’t ever implement any policies because you’re never in power?

They don’t even provide effective opposition as they’re too busy infighting. It’s pathetic.

Compromising policy to get elected is the only way the Labour Party has had electoral success in recent years. You can always have more of an impact in power than you can in opposition and a more centrist Labour policy agenda would still help more people than current Conservative party.

Iltavilli · 08/09/2018 09:19

@stompy They aren’t a political group, they are a political party. You’re right, the role of a group is to take a stance and try to influence power brokers and policy makers. The role of a party is to be the power broker or policy maker - to be a government.
I’m entirely with OP and PPs, this is not my party, it has been taken over by an extremist group.

TulipsInAJug · 08/09/2018 09:23

Labour Party is scary. The party is on a witchhunt - Joan Ryan MP is the latest casualty. A pro-Corbyn, anti-Israel Iranian spy actually infiltrated her local party to get rid of her. You couldn't make this up.

Musicforthemasses18 · 08/09/2018 09:28

Jesus, this thread is bonkers Shock I don’t even vote labour - I vote Lib Dem in my area- but even I don’t believe that Corbyn is a crazy extremist. It’s media propaganda - stirred up by Blair the Tory who pretended he was labour. The last labour manifesto was actually entirely sensible, backed by industry and forward thinking.

Like I say- I don’t vote labour but I can see the crazy media shit storm that has been swirled up by the right wing media.

Musicforthemasses18 · 08/09/2018 09:32

Oh, and let’s not forget he came very close to winning the last election too! By campaigning on the ground in labour heartlands and appealing to UKIP voters.

1981fishgut · 08/09/2018 09:33

t. It’s media propaganda -

wonder we’re fake news would crop up BINGO

Musicforthemasses18 · 08/09/2018 09:36

@1981 as I have already said, I don’t vote labour. But it amazes me that Boris can make some outrageous islamaphobic comments and people laugh it off and yet Corbyn is vilified more than any MP in living memory.

Starlighter · 08/09/2018 09:40

While there is Diane Abbott and Jeremy Corbyn in the Labour Party, I will never vote Labour.

Nikephorus · 08/09/2018 09:41

The last labour manifesto was actually entirely sensible,
It would have bankrupted the country!!!!!! Lots of nice ideas - it contained basically everything anyone could want - but it's pointless if you can't afford it. It's the same as you deciding you've found the perfect house - loads of bedrooms for family and friends to stay, huge grounds, swimming pool & tennis court so you can stay fit, personal cinema and bowling alley to entertain the kids - great but it costs several millions and you're unemployed.

1981fishgut · 08/09/2018 09:42

I think you will find
He’s not vilified people just think he’s shit

If your playing a match you felid your best team

This is not the best team he is a extreme left fringe MP awe song not want loons form either alt right or far left running the U.K.

No point putting my dh on for Man City them wondering why the stands are empty and no goals are being made then berating the paper for pointing out how shit he is

I quite welcome the return of a 2 party system

The "modernisation"/move to center of the Labour party totally screwed up UK politics, leaving us with tory or tory lite as options

Would be nice to have a choice again, not that I'm ever going to vote for any of the useless picks but it will improve the dynamics of our already fatally flawed political process

ImAIdoot · 08/09/2018 09:46

...I think it's sad that we have to choose for our political class between the sort of movement that lies, betrays, destroys, abuses children and starts wars for its own ego games, and the sort of movement that wants to hurt and dehumanize all opposition, silencing people for the good of the people.

The Labour politicians of old will be turning in their graves.

ilovesooty · 08/09/2018 09:47

FFS. Not again. A name change doesn't make your obsessions less tedious you know. Hmm

PolkerrisBeach · 08/09/2018 09:49

I quite welcome the return of a 2 party system

I don't. If you think of the political spectrum in the UK as a number line with 1 being left wing and 10 being right wing, until recently you've had Labour as a 4 and Conservatives as a 6 or 7.

Recently both have moved further apart - Labour is a 2, Conservatives an 8 or 9.

So what about all those people - and there are a lot of them - who have centrist views, who would be 4, 5, 6 on that number line? They're not going to vote for Labour as they're too left wing. They're not going to vote Conservative as they're too right wing. It shouldn't be a binary choice between two such opposing parties.

easyandy101 · 08/09/2018 09:49

Would have thought the Labour politicians of old would still be spinning from the advent of the Blair tbh

Pywife2 · 08/09/2018 09:50

'He's not vilified, people just think he's a shit'

You couldn't make this stuff up.

Musicforthemasses18 · 08/09/2018 09:51

“He’s not vilified people just think he’s shit”

So why did he overturn a Tory 20 point lead in the last election and cause a hung parliament?

It bores me that people focus on Corbyn while the Tory party are burning the country to the ground.
