To be annoyed they sold our own dress back to us?

NC'ed as this will out me to the school group I just complained to!

Just bought a nearly new dress for DD from school uniform shop. Went to label it and found it was already labelled... DD. They sold us our own dress! AIBU to be annoyed that they don't check lost property for names and try and reunite with the owners before flogging it? Or is it our fault for not having tried harder to get it back? (DD has ADHD and loses 2-3 items a term, we're not great at keeping track)

I don't think that you are unreasonable. DS1 goes to a school of 2000 and they keep named and non-named uniform separate - one for parents to search through - the other for parents to buy (when their child's hoodie with name embroidered on front still hasn't turned up!)

How about child accidentally goes home in the item, mum wouldn't think to check the label, has a sort out and dontates it back to school

They don't check donations and hang it up for sale

Easily done

We've had others jumpers shorts socks turn up over the years
