What's the consensus? my ex still shares bed with our DD when she stays over, i do not have any concerns something irregular going on but I do think there is an age when this is no longer appropriate. What age do you think it should stop so I can get an idea on consensus?

My friend's son sleeps in the same bed as his dad, mum and grandma (not in the same bed at the same time i might add Grin )

I think it's very weird but it's not my place to comment so I don't.

So the son has no bedroom of his own at grandma's, mum's or dad's so which ever house he stays at (parents have split) he sleeps in the same bed as the adult - oh and he's 12...

Apparently has never slept in his own bed and since parents have split none of them have encouraged him to sleep on his own. I think 12 is way too old personally!

Tammy Flowers that's awful.

"'...especially as she doesn't seem bothered about it.' Are you basing this on the fact she sleeps in with her dad? It doesn't follow she she doesn't want her own room."

Well not really no, more on the fact that op has obviously discussed this with her dd in order to even know the sleeping arrangements, regularly gauges her mood as she sets off to her dads/returns, and just generally knows her dd better than we do.

I assumed, if there was the slightest concern, she'd have mentioned it as being pertinent to the question.

RainySeptember you've made loads of assumptions about what the OP does and knows. You might be right.

The OP is asking if this is OK. It doesn't sound like she is convinced herself!

If the divorce is recent all the co sleeping may be a way to cope, for everyone. Maybe OK short term. Or it may be normal for this family. If so why is the OP asking?

StopItAndTidyUpNow that all sounds pretty shit for the 12 year old.
