It just seems unnecessary when they are just upsetting theirselves and spoiling it for other people.
I’m talking
“What’s your favourite treat food from the shops”
“Nothing. I live in a wooden crab infested shack and only eat mouldy dog food and sprouts”
Or
“What funny/silly nonsense did your family do with you as a child”
“Well they string me up and beat me with birches, I don’t know if that counts”
I understand hard lives, and it’s not been a picnic personally but I (and I assume others) read cheerful threads as nice escapism and happy memories and these posters are upsetting their selves and others

I forget to check this thread for a couple of days and all the drama has happened!

Blush Sorry! It may have calmed down now, I hope.

Sorry to bring this up again, but I thought it fit better on this thread as someone had already mentioned those with sensitive noses. Oh dear. Someone in S and B has asked how they can smell nice, they don’t much like perfumes etc. Loads of lovely advice, and then someone pitches in going “can’t bear wafts of smell on people, it makes my throat tickle and makes me cough, clean clothes/body/hair only please” 🙄

Well that's not controlling or dictatorial in the slightest is it?

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 25/09/2018 08:46

I saw that toffee- I always think why would you even go onto a thread discussing something you hate, just to say you hate it and so others should stop doing it. I do appreciate some people have bad reactions to perfumes- but let's be honest, they are very few and far between.

The competitive not turning the heating on has begun. 🙇‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Not to be outdone by people waiting until there's a legit blizzard to turn it on I added my own thoughts here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/3374166-Have-you-turned-your-heating-back-on-yet?msgid=81335699#81335699
