Hermes have ruined my holiday

I go on holiday next week, an attempt at a relaxing break (few nights somewhere close by in case it all goes tits up). I have bad PND and had ordered some new clothes to try and help me feel like I look a bit nicer on holiday. My local Hermes courier has them and I've waited in all day for them to deliver. They claimed to have attempted to deliver them this morning but I know for a fact this is lies. I was sat by the window with the baby asleep on me watching for the delivery when they claimed to have attempted.

I've been in touch with customer services who say they can't get in touch with the courier. They won't be able to attempt delivery again until I'm on holiday next week.

No new clothes for me Sad

Sorry I'm just wallowing in my own self pity here and needed a rant. I just wanted to look nice and not feel fat. The baby cries all the time if i try and go to the shops.

I'm 13 weeks pp and yes I have been to see the GP about my low mood.

Why do people lie instead of doing their job properly??

I tried buying stuff separately from Next so our lovely courier got more pay but Next just shoved it all in the same package

Yep, they sometimes do that. They delivered a stack of jeans and trainers I'd ordered for my DSs to try and put it all in one humongous bag :( there were two delivery notes in it so I returned what I was sending back in two lots and also complained as the bag was so huge the woman could barely carry it/fit it in her car and she probably made about £0.50. :(

I think it's a bit silly to say a woman can't even get place an online order or take a shower even for the first 6 weeks. Baby's cry so let them cry for 5 minutes.

OP I bet if you went shopping your baby would go to sleep through the whole trip.

Neshoma, that is incredibly insensitive and patronising.
The OP has said that she has PND, which makes getting out extremely difficult as the mother will feel terribly stressed out by crying or even by the anticipation of crying, and possibly paralysed by thoughts of the effort it takes to get the baby out the door, dressed and equipped.

PND makes everything far less straightforward. Even being able to plan a holiday wardrobe is an accomplishment for many; heck, even the thought of going off on a holiday might provoke an anxiety crisis.

When you have PND little things can become incredible obstacles.

I was stuck in traffic once beside a Hermes driver buzzing on the intercom to the gate of a large house.

I couldn’t resist asking him “why are you buzzing? Don’t you guys just leave a card and bugger off?”

OP- I hope you’re more amused by this than he was
