I keep re watching it, I’ve not laughed so hard in ages. Oh dear oh dear Theresa!! What on Earth was she thinking!

OP posts:

You sound like an immature school girl.

LEELULUMPKIN · 28/08/2018 17:25

With a charming turn of phrase to boot.

cariadlet · 28/08/2018 17:26

I haven't seen the video yet (hadn't heard about her dancing until this thread), but laughing at her for doing her best in a no-win situation seems unkind and unnecessary.

I hate the Tories, I hate their Austerity policies, I hate how Theresa May behaved as Home Secretary. There are plenty of things about her policies and speeches that are worth mocking.
No need to stoop to taking the piss out of her for being unable to dance.

IfIWasABirdIdFlyIn2ACeilingFan · 28/08/2018 17:29

Oh for gods sake! It really wasn’t awful. She is a politician, not a dancer. Agree with others, she can’t bloody win. I didn’t see any of the other adults around her giving it a go.

cariadlet · 28/08/2018 17:30

Just watched the video and it wasn't even that bad. A bit stiff and awkward, but nothing too embarrassing. I don't like the woman, but good on her for having a go.

paddlingwhenIshouldbeworking · 28/08/2018 17:38

No Tory fan but can't see how this made you 'piss yourself laughing'. Do you get out much?

She looks spot on for an English politician dancing in Africa.

Ops comment was the kind of thing one of my 14 year old DS's friends might say, trying to be funny but missing the mark!

ThunderR0ad78 · 28/08/2018 17:44

I'm a labour voter but good for her I say, she had a go, joined in and didn't make her self look silly! Thought it was quite sweet!

BiologyIsReal · 28/08/2018 17:55

OP is just having a laugh because it's May.

Corbyn doesn't even have to dance to make me laugh.

brokenharbour · 28/08/2018 17:56

Oh god, the poor woman.

I can't help thinking about how Michelle Obama would have killed it. At least she tried though.

RoseWhiteTips · 28/08/2018 18:49

Okay here is Jezza. Waaaaaay funnier than May’s dancing...

AintNoCista · 28/08/2018 18:50

Hate May, prefer Corbyn but both are completely non news worthy and definitely not something I'll be "pissing myself" over

Loopytiles · 28/08/2018 18:51

Ridiculing anyone’s dancing is U.

BarbarianMum · 28/08/2018 18:55

I don't know about SA but in Nigeria it's very rude not to dance when invited. When I lived there I was regularly forced to demonstrate my lack of moves for the entertainment of the masses (once on regional television - excruciating) so Im certainly not going to mock TM for giving it a go.

Aprilsinparis · 28/08/2018 19:02

I think she must have been to the Peter Crouch school of dancingGrin

Redcrayons · 28/08/2018 19:07

if she hadn't done it she would be mocked for being a boring stick in the mud.

She gave it a go, and looks like she's enjoying watching the children. I'm no fan at all, but fair play to her.

Gushpanka · 28/08/2018 19:32

I don't like May's politics but i do have a grudging admiration of how she keeps going in situations which would make most of us weep

LakieLady · 28/08/2018 19:58

Two out of 3 members of the Lakie household nearly pissed themselves laughing at her, too, OP, so you're not the only one who's childish and unkind.

The dog didn't find it amusing, she's obviously far more mature than the humans.

JoffreyBaratheon · 28/08/2018 19:59

I hope some enterprising footballer turns it into a goal celebration.

Borridge · 28/08/2018 20:38

Imagine Angela Merkel doing the same Grin

areyoubeingserviced · 28/08/2018 20:44

She gave it a go
As another poster said it’s called Diplomatic relations.
Don’t underestimate the so called ‘soft skills’

Deshasafraisy · 28/08/2018 20:49

I can’t stand her but watching her dance made me feel something, it might have been pity at her awkwardness, but maybe it was hope, maybe I caught a glimpse of something human. Whatever it was, it was the first time I haven’t been repulsed by her.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 28/08/2018 20:49

Probably practicing before she has to the same for the EU in desperation of a deal.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 28/08/2018 20:52

I think it’s ok to have a laugh quietly at home but I think slagging her off on line is not.

Lottapianos · 28/08/2018 21:30

'Probably practicing before she has to the same for the EU in desperation of a deal.'

Now THIS really did make me PMSL

SerenDippitty · 28/08/2018 21:32

I’m not a fan of hers, but she did better than I would have done.
