I call mine Mavis....She's mature

I've had
TJ the Rover 400
Doodles the Metro
Norman the Volvo
Victor the Rover 75
Bex the Mini

And now Jem(ima) the Fiesta

The car

So my car is bright orange and the name "Tango" was suggested. I didn't like that so I decided on "Charlie" as in Charlie tango the call sign for the helicopter in 50 shades

I love naming cars, we currently have
Hasta, (Rasta) named after a lush black lab we met in Brazil
Big Ninja, he was bought after we traded Little Ninja.
Hasta and Little Ninja were known as the Merkin brothers

We have also had Bernard the Corsa and Leonard the Amica. I wanted to call the next car Hugo but this was vetoed ☹️

Dog, it’s a Rover and has a dg on the number plate, also occasionally referred to as James because it can’t climb hills (Thomas the tank).
Previous cars have been The Pug (Peugeot) and The Hearse (black zafira) first brand new car I’d ever had, first thing out of DM’s mouth when she saw it was ‘oh dear it looks like a hearse!’ which stuck 🤦🏻‍♀️

Got a fiat500L last year, DS(7) asked me what the L stood for, I said "Larry". It's kind of stuck.

Also had Sharkie.

It's usually inspired by letters on the number plate.

I call my Kevin, he’s a Renault twingo

Wolfgang Amadeus Volkswagen (Golf)
Richard R-Reg (Another Golf)
Scarlett O'Polo (obvious)
Martin Match (Golf)
Ethelred Unready (Polo but I had to wait to pick him up and he was red)
Maxie Polo (number plate derived)

And they all have different personalities. I do prefer boy cars because they don't faff about in the morning saying "Does my boot look big in this?" but little Maxie is lovely because she's just a baby.

My car, though I've just been told off by DH for accurately naming his car, apparently I was pretentious-whatever mate dickhead

I give my cars stupid names based on the number plate, first was a silver corsa, with jny, so that was Jenny, then blue fiesta rcu, so was royal cheri unit!
Now black corsa svl- super voluptuous lady!

All my cars have had names. You can't not name your car!!
