My first car was called Phoebe. Second was The Beast (considerably bigger and much more powerful engine so felt like a beast to me!). Current car (7 seater) is known affectionately as The Fun Bus

Ruby, cos she’s a little red pap-pap (tiny Peugeot 107).

Dh has a giant lumbering Vauxhall Zafira called Albert.

In my experience people only name cars that are either old and quirky or a first car.
Mine have been called Tonto, Lady M, Shitheap and the Porsche 😄

My first ever car was a Mavis.

She was 14 years old when I got her and saw me through my driving test and 3 years at uni.
She was retired to the big scrap heap in the sky when she could barely reach 60 on the motorway.

My first car was Graham after Graham Hill the f1 champion. He was a little red micra. I planned to get a more up to date micra and call it Damon, but I've ended up with a Suzuki swift instead. It's nameless at present! DM & DP refuse to let me call it Taylor

Bridget, as I tell it to 'come to the fuck on, Bridget', several times a week. Which in itself is a line from Bridget Jones' Diary.

Bruce. He is a pick up truck, probably used in the outback so it suits him.

Had a ford focus called Fanny before that. Mainly because dd was doing sex ed at school and struggled with saying vagina, so calling something everyday "fanny" got her over her squeamishness.

DHs car is called The Bargain because it's been an absolute bargain of a car.

Have also had an old Rav 4 called Buster because he wa electric blue and looked like a Buster.

A vectra called Vince.

And a mazda called Bastard. Because it was an absolute money pit of a car. We sold it for scrap and I gave it the V as it was towed off.

My very fist car was a little Metro sport called Marcus. He would have been Mark the Metro but because he was a Metro Sport deserved a posher name.

Tank. It's an unnecessarily large Audi Q7 which I can't bloody wait to get rid of when some of the kids fuck off. It's pretty much a tank anyway so it suits it.

DSD named her Gerti (we're Cabin Pressure fans) because she's pretty much held together by gaffer tape and hopeu

Our current car is called Betsy (my MN username was inspired by her!).

Other cars over the years have included; Dillon, Fergus, Cameron, GiGi, Peggy, Kelly, Everett, Neo, Megan, Yoda and Paloma. They've usually been based on the first letter of the number plate or the make of the car (for example; Megan was a Renault Megane).
