Also check what you might have bought online last night. Grin

Quangot · 24/08/2018 11:35

What's it like bathing in coffee, water and paracetamol? Grin

lynmilne65 · 24/08/2018 12:21

Serves you right 😑

LemonysSnicket · 24/08/2018 14:23

Flat coke, cocodamol.

And orange, a banana and an alkerseltzer and then some scrambled eggs.

Carbon dioxide, vitamin C, potassium, salts and protein - they are what you need.

LemonysSnicket · 24/08/2018 14:24

And everyone says carbs and salt and fat - these are literally he worst thing for a hangover as they just dehydrate you

Isleepinahedgefund · 24/08/2018 14:28

Thanks for the laugh 😸 hope you’re feeling better! You’ll sleep well tonight....

QueenOfMyWorld · 24/08/2018 14:33

McDonald's with full sugar coke, a bar of chocolate and paracetamol

TheSheepofWallSt · 25/08/2018 11:06

I did indeed survive the day.

Sadly survive was about as good as it got. Got to DMs and then proceeded to vomit copiously for the next 9 hours.

Thank god she took control of the baby, put me to bed, and had a sense of humour about the whole thing. I have the post-hangover anxiety, depression and a deep sense of shame... I’m a mother! What was I thinking?!

Off to buy DM flowers, chocolate and see if they sell dignity anywhere in M&S (for me), as I seem to have run out.

Thank you all for your support in this dark, margarita soaked time ... Blush

TheSheepofWallSt · 25/08/2018 11:45

takes a shamefaced bow

Not to get deep or anything, but DM and I have historically had a very difficult relationship with v little support from her as I negotiate single parenthood - recently been feeling like somehow we’ve turned a corner so weirdly, this has felt quite important, and almost healing... to be able to depend on her last minute, for such a silly reason.

Literally the most important hangover of my life. May well be the last. Planning a teetotal adulthood from hereon in Grin

Was loving this thread before getting to the fact that it was actually a life-changing hangover, but that has made it for me...!! It's like a self help book in one thread. Love! ❤️

MrsMozart · 25/08/2018 13:26

Wise choice. Smile

'I'm trapped in the bath, AMA'

😂😂😂

KickAssAngel · 25/08/2018 15:56

It sounds suspiciously like you managed to merge a hangover with a stomach bug. I've had hangovers that last for days, but generally the vomiting dies off quite quickly, and you retch without producing much. That and the squits, and still feeling delicate makes me wonder if you had an unfortunate combination.

At least, tell your self it wasn't all your own foolhardy approach to drinking.

But Yay! for your mum coming through for you!!!

BeUpStanding · 25/08/2018 16:29

This is one of my most favourite threads ever Grin. How soon after waking up did you realise you'd started a thread on AIBU?!

BeUpStanding · 25/08/2018 16:30

KickAssAngel - it was probably dodgy ice in the drinks Wink
