Aibu to want to buy unisex baby clothes?

DH and I don't want to find out the sex of our baby, partly because we want a surprise and partly because it's just not important to us either way. However the shops selling baby clothes seem to insist that everyone finds out! I can't find any nice unisex stuff ANYWHERE. It's either plain white and boring or is pink and floral or blue with cars. AIBU to think that the shops should have more unisex options? I feel like I'm being forced to find out because people keep telling me they want to buy stuff but can't because they don't know what it is. Angry

Try The White Company

Yeah, my second DD was called ‘he’ when wearing a yellow flowery romper (with a tiny hint of blue). Apparently because ‘shes got no hair and she’s wearing blue’.

Not that I was bothered particularly what sex random strangers thought my baby was 🤷🏻‍♀️. Just made me laugh! She didn’t have any hair until she was 1.

Sorry if you felt I was having a go at you, I didn't mean it to come across that way, was a bit pissed of at the thread turning as they always do so I was probably a bit of an arse. Apologies.

I've found out at the birth and also during pregnancy so I have no issue either way.

matalan usually do a nice neutral range, also as I mentioned previously there are some lovely clothes available on insta, usually a bit cooler than what you'd find on the high street.

I'd just get a few bits until baby is here, sizes are also had to guess ime.

I struggled to find unisex tings too. Really frustrating. Lots of grey was classed as the unisex colour in shops which I thought looked boyish 🤔 but I did buy a few yellow or white bits. Tbh you only need vests and babygrows to start with, to dress baby in when first born. After the first people come to visit you you'll have clothing in the right colour spectrum! We had so many she didn't get to wear some of it! X

I actually ended up finding out the sex of my baby for this reason. The unisex stuff was awful

Go white to begin with and then skandi brands, loads of bright colours etc.

Matalan, M&S and H&M all pretty good on the high street/online.

I feel really sorry for all those people who miss out on that wonderful surprise at the birth.

What a stupid thing to say . After the traumas of my births I wouldn't have cared if I'd delivered a boy, girl or a monkey . Finding out the sex during pregnancy was one of the few joys I had out of the whole experience and I was able to enjoy the surprise whilst I felt mentally well .
