That picture, lion, I reckon is a pretty good likeness of how the Oaf's inner Donnie 's feelings. Several commentators have said today that the Oaf was noticeably subdued after the good news broke yesterday, particularly at his rally. Haberman was the first to comment, which I took with a pinch of salt, but as more voices have been added, I give it more credence. One said he had only seen him in a similarly depressed state after Mueller was appointed. Didn't stay knocked back for long then, did he?

Cohen's lawyer says Cohen would refuse a pardon from the president, as he believes Trump is a danger to America.

What is Cohen's advantage in doing this? Is it so when he plea-bargains his sentence, the information he gives is more trusted?

There'll be no pardon from Scrotus after what Cohen has spilled, so it's a moot point as far as I'm concerned. Non-issue.

And no, I won't be donating to a 'Truth Fund'. If Cohen has had a Damascene Conversion as Davis indicates, then he'll be more than happy to accept responsibility for paying his own legal bills as part of atoning to the American People for what he's done. But in my opinion both Cohen and Lanny Davis know that they (or at least Davis) stand to make HUGE money on a future book/film deal.

Just for shits and giggles, the online betting odds are even money on Scrotus being impeached at some point during his first term. Odds are against Manafort being pardoned 'this year'.

Impeachment:
If Dems take the House with a reasonable margin they will go all in for impeachment. There will be endless hearings, avalanches of subpeonas, not much actual governing.
But, the House impeaches, the Senate convicts. An impeached POTUS remains in office until the outcome of the trial in the Senate. The likelihood of the repugs holding the Senate is high. What will McConnell do? How he handled the Garland nomination is the clue. Nothing will happen in the Senate. As a result of the foregoing the Oaf may not be re-elected. (If the Dems take the Senate too, in the midterms, hello President Pence.)
