Meant to ask. How did you get on with the wildfires blazing?

Australia has a new PM, Scott Morrison, who was the architect of offshoring refugees to rot on Nauru (per C4 news). Should hit it off with the Oaf.

We're not near enough to have to worry, coze, but because of where we are geographically we got a lot of the smoke blown our way from the Carr and Ferguson fires (we're at a 'confluence' wind-wise). It was pretty bad a couple for a bit, sore throat and problems with asthma for me and DS2. But the fires are controlled enough now that it's only minor haze.

Just reading Loesch mentioning Scrotus and Capone in the same breath is enough to make me smile. And I'd like to sidle up to him and whisper "Well, Capone was guilty too, sooooo.....".

Just a fun bit of trivia: Al Capone's mother lived on the same street as the grandmother of a friend of mine 'back in the day'. It was the safest, quietest street in Cicero Ill (or was it Berwyn?). Her grandmother used to say what a nice man Alfonse was to everyone on the street and what a shame he 'turned out so bad'. Doubt if anyone will say the same for Scrotus.

I have seen Zephyr Teachout a couple of times over the past few days, on MJ and Stephanie Ruhle, I think. I thought her quite impressive, and on top of her brief. But I think Barbara Underwood is doing a very good job as NYAG.

That Mariotti thread is excellent, North, good to have confirmation exec. 2 is Oafspawn jr. If any of the Oafspawn become liable for criminal indictment that could be very 'challenging' for the Oaf. In terms of criminal indictment of the Oaf, the statute of limitations is pretty tight for election related offences, as few as five years. The Oaf could only be hit with that if he is not re-elected (assuming a SCOTUS, with Kav. on board, upholds a POTUS can't be indicted in.office).
