I popped into Wilko yesterday to stock up on craft bits for 4 year old DS. I grabbed him a 50p roll of masking tape as he likes it for making models and I have to keep getting the tool box out to find it.
He is DELIGHTED. He has spent the last half an hour thanking me profusely. I am the best Mummy in the world and may borrow his masking tape whenever I need to Grin
Tell me I’m not alone in having a little weirdo!

My 7 year old likes the strip that opens small Amazon packages. It has a dot on it so she calls them dotties

Oh yes, the zoo! First time we took DS to London Zoo he spent far too long toddling after a pigeon 😁

We have a random metal but iridescent fork that doesnt match any of our cutlery. No idea where it came from or how we ended up with it. It's just a fork. This fork has been the subject of tears at dinnertime. Rotas have been drawn up, it's been hidden for exclusive use and even buying a similar hideous set didn't work as it just wasn't the same feel. I'm baffled. But then I remember me and my siblings fighting over who got to use a pint glass my dad nicked from his local. Grin

ds was obsessed with vacuum cleaners. Whenever we visited anyone or went anywhere he'd ask to see their Hoover. We had some work done and the man pulled a James rather than Henry Hoover from his van and ds nearly exploded with pure joy and wonderment. The bloke let him try it out and explained how and why it was different to Henry. ds Is now 14 and his obsession has disappeared. Sad

Dd around that age LOVED when I bought her a ream of printing paper - cheaper than buying colouring books/drawing pads - as she LOVED drawing and colouring. I'd either print off colouring outlines from websites or she'd freestyle.

She was also excited if there was sellotape, blu tak etc in Xmas stocking - wish I could get away with that now!

She's also always LOVED coleslaw - hates chips and choc but loves coleslaw. I once as a reward said she could have anything she wanted from the supermarket, expecting her to ask for cake or grapes (other favourites at the time) she wanted a BIG tub of coleslaw. Weird kids.

Scoobygang - that day may not come my dd still loves veg.

Dd 17 now - her and her friends went ikea the other day, not to specifically buy anything just for a look round and to eat in the cafe (I think it's partly the novelty of going somewhere only reached by car now a couple of them can drive without parents) 😕

Octopus bumhole 😂😂😂

Re ribbon - my sister did similar with a length of ricrac mum had left over after making party dresses.

My eldest was excited for his pre school jabs. Sat through them like a trouper and wore his sticker with pride. Never known anything like it!

Octopus bumhole Grin crying laughing!!!

My DC is really into leaves and baby wipes. The pack of baby wipes will do, put if she can pull one out and rub it in her face (and lick it and suck it but mean mammy won't let her) she is absolutely delighted. Her face lights up every time she sees the packet of baby wipes. She is 5.5 months old!!!!
