To think this is a perfectly good reason not to go out?

Dh has come home from work and suggested we walk to the local pub for dinner. Ordinarily I would jump at the idea but at 5pm I removed my bra. The ladies are a mahoosive gg cup and it's really bloody hot.

Aibu to send him for a take away instead? He is showing limited understanding to be honest.

I have a G cup and I keep them on because it gets sweaty and uncomfortable without one. I was also wondering why your bra's are so uncomfortable that you like to take them off..,

Gottokondo · 09/08/2018 12:59

Wearing the tight size doesn't necessarily mean that the bra is right for you. Choice of material and cut is important too.

AynRandTheObjectivist · 09/08/2018 13:04

But my feet don't put weight on my back, don't swing around, don't get all sweaty underneath, don't get all stretched with weight when unsupported....

I realise I'm in a minority here but I've never, ever felt this way. I am so uncomfortable when I've got no support at all.

badtime · 09/08/2018 13:12

I am another constant bra-wearer. I really hate not wearing one. If it's very hot I might sleep in a soft bra top thingy (well, I actually wear two at once for more support). I don't understand the bra-aversion.

FoofFighter · 09/08/2018 13:27

YADNBU.

I'm dog sitting atm and the biggest bad thing about it is not being able to whip off my bra/get in jammies at 6pm as I still have to go and take the dog out. Would be fine in winter, could just throw a coat on over the top

ShotsFired · 09/08/2018 13:27

It's a perfectly valid defence. And I reckon should be a 100% acceptable alibi in a criminal court too.

I love this thread. Yadnbu

I'm another one who feels more comfortable when supported - my bra only comes off when it's time to get into bed. Occasionally I'll change into a soft cup bra or a vest top with built in support, but can't stand having them swinging around without anything on!

Agree with pp that I suspect those who find their bras uncomfortable by the end of the day are perhaps not wearing the right size/style.

otterturk · 09/08/2018 13:53

I'm an 30E and often go out without a bra. No kids yet though.

Racecardriver · 09/08/2018 13:55

It sure how you can tolerate bring braless as a GG cup but if it more comfortable then YANBU.

ShartGoblin · 09/08/2018 14:49

I'd be tempted to slap him with my baps until he agreed to my demands but I see this has already been resolved. Hope the takeaway was yummy!

DerelictWreck · 09/08/2018 16:17

I laugh at all you GGs! Try being a JJ!

That said I'm with the bra off crew - but not loose. Oh no because loose = underboob sweat. Crop tops/ materials bras instead!

Having said that, I'd be happy to put it back on for a pub dinner!

The only reason to put the bra back on is the pub!!!!

starryeyed19 · 09/08/2018 16:57

Fuck, no. The bra is off. Stay put. Enjoy the takeaway

iklboo · 09/08/2018 16:58

I'm a confirmed 'shoes off bra off' woman but if DH suggested walking to the pub for dinner they'd be back on in a flash. Walking to pub = wine.

lightonthewater · 09/08/2018 17:53

Never used to do this but now I do it frequently.

StroppyWoman · 09/08/2018 19:32

Bras are a nightmare. I put one one when I have to leave the house and take it off the second I get back home. I hate it when someone drops in and I have to nip off to the bathroom and put a bra back on.

I used to have marvellous tits. Breastfeeding 3 kids did for them, the poor sods. As Sarah Millican says "oooh, you've lovely long breasts," isn't exactly a compliment.

haverhill · 09/08/2018 19:37

I have a friend with J cups and she starts unhooking as she walks up her drive! She puts on a t shirt with internal support for the evening.

Ted27 · 09/08/2018 21:56

Bravissimo sleep bras are your friend ! I swap as soon as I get in.

ohtheholidays · 09/08/2018 22:01

No I'm with you OP once my boobs are freed that's it they're staying free!

Putting it back on would be like caging a wild beast that had just been given it's freedom Grin and yes my boobs are big but I don't get the dragging down, they're still very pert luckily,I say luckily when the bloody bra hoists them up I worry I may smother myself one day.Blush

AynRandTheObjectivist · 09/08/2018 22:03

Oh yes, swap to a pyjama top with integrated support or a soft cup, light support bra, definitely. No bra at all? Not unless I'm going to be lying on my back with my boobs in traction all evening.

Singlenotsingle · 09/08/2018 22:03

Just taken mine off, by coincidence. Bliss!

ScarlettV14 · 09/08/2018 22:17

So, is there a comfort option which also rounds 'em up and points 'em out?

I've never found it. 38F.

Sunkist12 · 09/08/2018 22:25

A cup here. I don't really wear bras that much. Then again, my nips are bigger than my boobs... So Grin
