I got myself measured for the first time today. I have been wearing a 34A basically my whole life. Apparently my back size (not sure if that’s is the correct term!) is 27 but the lady advised I would probably find a 28 too tight so to go for a 30. After trying a few on she told me to go for a 30D for plunge/t-shirt styles and a 30C for balconette styles. Does anyone else have to get different sizes for different styles? My friend thought it was weird the assistant suggested that! I can’t believe I have been wearing the completely wrong size Flowers

30GG but they're a bit loose after weight loss, I might need a 28gg or 30g.

YupThatsMe · 04/08/2018 21:08

I was a 34D or thereabouts, used the bra calculator on Boob or Bust and learnt that I'm actually 30G! Shock I've tried lots on and yup, in the makes that works for me I am indeed a 30G.

BikeRunSki · 04/08/2018 21:09

34F by method suggested on here recently. This ties in with my last bra fitting, at John Lewis a couple of years ago.

I wear 36D in my favourite sports bra- Shock Absorber Run Bra.

bughug · 04/08/2018 21:09

I'm a 34K. It's a living hell.

YupThatsMe · 04/08/2018 21:11

OP go and have a go at the boob or bust calculator then report back, I'll be really interested!

DuggeeHugs · 04/08/2018 21:15

32K

HumpHumpWhale · 04/08/2018 21:16

30G. I can't wear anything except plunge bras as the wires dig in between my boobs if they come up too high, but I do find sizes vary. It'll depend on where you're fullest, too.

RandomWordsandaNumber5 · 04/08/2018 21:37

I was a 34C but after booborbust and bravissimo, I’m a 30F.
Much more comfortable and better fitting.

Same @HumpHumpWhale, I can only wear plunge! I just have Bravissimo's Satine bra in loads of different colours Grin

HumpHumpWhale · 04/08/2018 21:55

Triskaidekaphilia me too! Only bra I wear!

bananafish81 · 04/08/2018 21:56

M&S measured me as a 34B

I'm actually a 28D

hammeringinmyhead · 04/08/2018 21:57

When not pregnant I'm a 34E but currently I'm a 34F.

Lazypuppy · 04/08/2018 21:57

32DDD in Victoria Secret

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 04/08/2018 21:59

40AA.

Carey12 · 04/08/2018 22:06

Umm... S. I have tiny breasts and wear flimsy triangle things from Scandi shops like Cos. Although now I’m pregnant and they’re not really cutting it...

JennyBlueWren · 04/08/2018 22:07

I was 32 L before and between pregnancies but currently have made to measure bras from an online company as I'm too big. They send you a special tape measure and instructions and it is probably the best fitting bra I've had.

My38274thNameChange · 04/08/2018 22:15

28F. I was wearing a 34C until I was measured and fitted.

The only shame is I can’t afford the bras that actually fit!

Lostmymind26 · 04/08/2018 22:20

I used to wear a 32b but went into Victoria's Secret and they told me 34dd! I think they have vanity sizing tbh! But the bras I tried on were a good fit! Nowadays I try bras on before I buy them in a range of sizes and just go for the best fit regardless of size! Most of my bras are a 32c or a 34d :-)
I have no idea how I even get to a c as with no bra on I have literally tiny boobs?! When I was younger I always wished for bigger but now I'm not too arsed as Dh has no complaints!

bananafish81 · 04/08/2018 22:23

Although I measure 28D I actually wear a 30C, because the very very few bras that are available in a 28D are desperately unflattering - they're generally bras designed for larger breasts (brands like Freya) but sized down. I have little volume in the upper breast, so every bra I've tried in a 28D flaps around at the top where I don't fill it out. Masses more selection in a 30C, so I have some lovely plunge moulded cup bras from Calvin Klein and Panache that are great.

(I know they're probably sacrilege, because they're sized XS/S/M etc rather than by back and cup size, but the Uniqlo non wired bras are insanely comfortable too, if you're small of boobage - which despite nominally being a D cup, I very much am!)

Echobelly · 04/08/2018 22:25

30A or 32A depending on fit of bra. While breastfeeding DS and for a while thereafter I went up to a 30C, which was a 'mare, as where places do 30 back at all, they only tend to do A and B cups with it, so As easier to manage at least.

Pretty happy with my small boobs - can't wear strapless tops and I have a relatively large waist so I'm not well proportioned, but from all I've heard of some of the issues of living with big boobs I'm kinda glad I'm not well-endowed in that department!

Beach11 · 04/08/2018 22:25

32D

RelocationRelocation · 04/08/2018 22:29

32HH. Thanks to BoB and Bravissimo.

Tunnocks34 · 04/08/2018 22:32

32 D now. I’ve been in a 32B my whole life, after kids I went to a 32A.

I had a boob job earlier this year
