Excessive bleeding and passing blood clots after cervical biopsy - I need a hand hold, please.

Sorry, this is definitely TMI but I'm all alone and a bit scared.
I had a cervical biopsy and colposcopy this morning and now, 7 hours later I'm still bleeding non-stop and passing, what I presume, are huge blood clots (looks like raw liver).
The gynaecologist didn't tell me to expect this so I don't know if it's normal or not.
I'm home alone with no sanitary pads so I'm just sitting on the toilet most of the time. I've had to put wads of kitchen towel in my knickers when I need to move about but withing seconds its soaked through.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please tell me its nothing to worry about.

I am so glad to hear you're ok, rest today and drink plenty, make sure you tell the doctor when you see them. Flowers

Glad you're ok now, and that you have a phone sorted! Take care Flowers

Thanks again everyone Flowers I spent most of yesterday resting, drinking lots of water and had something to eat. I feel much better now and there's been no bleeding at all still. I'll certainly be having words with the gynaecologist when we go back for my biopsy results! He should have warned me what to expect and, I think, cauterized the biopsy site Angry
