I think, anyway! Not sure now! So I'll put it to the MN jury...and I'll happily apologize, because I have the ability to own my shit.

Chatting to a friend about going out tonight (after the week I've had, I bloody deserve it!)

She started on a massive stretch about me claiming PIP to "piss it up the wall", I obviously need the disposible income, etc, etc. It was really bitchy!

She's made catty comments in the past, but tbh I thought that was down to me- I have a weird sense of humor, and take the piss out of myself all the time. But never like this.

She said that, if I was independant enough to go out alone (I'll be meeting a friend, but eill be making my own way) I shouldn't be claiming Personal INDEPENDANCE Payment, and that "I'm what's wrong with the government atm!

I sent her a REALLY sarky text in reply, but it's made me doubt myself!

I need to calm down...

Depends which support groups you're in 😂

YeTalkShiteHen · 14/08/2018 15:52

imnotreally have you worked out my team? Grin

Pretenditsaplan · 14/08/2018 17:56

CUPCAKES!!!!!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 15/08/2018 08:41

Well, we know who'll be knocking on your door for cupcakes Rad! 😂 ^^

YeTalkShiteHen · 15/08/2018 08:45

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks aye, all of us Grin

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 15/08/2018 08:51

An anecdote from yesterday.

I have an acquaintance who works in Sainsbury's. She's in a wheelchair. She works on the self checkouts. Yesterday, a bloke was swearing, shouting at the machine, acquaintance was there, watching, she got closer and closer until she was right behind him, he waited for her colleague to come past and ask for help. Colleague said, "my colleague behind you can help."

Bloke said, "but you're in a wheelchair." No shit, Sherlock. Hmm

After she'd sorted it all out, he said, "You've been very helpful, even though you're in a wheelchair." Hmm

Amazingly for her, she didn't hit him. She says she feels invisible, kind of the opposite to me, I'm not imagining people staring at me, but I don't know why.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 15/08/2018 08:54

Ah yes YeTalk, but Pretend actually knows where she lives! 😂 There won't be any left for the rest of us! 😭😭😭😭

YeTalkShiteHen · 15/08/2018 08:58

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks ah I didn’t realise that! Curses, foiled again! Grin

After she'd sorted it all out, he said, "You've been very helpful, even though you're in a wheelchair."

Whaaaaaat? It’s legal to run people over isn’t it? It bloody well should be Angry

I think shit like that is worse than ignorance, you know the straight up blunt stuff, because it’s more dehumanising than the shit you can get angry with!

I didn’t explain that well at all, but I know what I meant.

Ugh ugh ugh. These folk need muzzled outside!

YeTalkShiteHen · 15/08/2018 08:59

Disablist people not wheelchair users!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 15/08/2018 09:15

She told me recently she's a lawyer, so not only is she stuck in the most boring job known to man, she has to put up with idiots like that as well.

YeTalkShiteHen · 15/08/2018 09:22

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks double whammy!

My cousin is a lawyer, the only highlight (according to her) was fielding a very irate Donald Trump (pre presidency) furious with the “little ginger girl” (she’s 35!) for being the one who’s argument meant his objection to renewable energy near his swanky golf course got chucked out so the wind turbines went in!

He used awful language about her and she laughed down the phone at him!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 15/08/2018 09:32

Good for her! 😂

YeTalkShiteHen · 15/08/2018 16:31

Aye it was the talk of the family for ages! He’s a knob Grin and she put him right in his place! Wahahaha!

How is everyone today?

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 15/08/2018 21:59

Tired. One child who gets up at 6.30, and the other who goes to bed at 10. I can't even sleep because she's in our room for the WiFi. 😴😴😴😴 Apart from that, fantastic! 😂

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 16/08/2018 07:50

Gooooood morning! Everyone got their milking gloves on? 😂

YeTalkShiteHen · 16/08/2018 08:01

Morning! Grin

Perfectly that sounds exhausting!

DS1 and DD start high school and primary today so I’ve been up since stupid o’clock!

DS1s new bus is coming shortly after a whole hoo haa with the transport department, finally it got sorted yesterday and I had just enough time to get him used to the idea.

DD doesn’t start until 10.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 16/08/2018 08:17

They like making you panic re transport, don't they!

You're lucky re your DD starting at 10.

This morning, DS2 woke up at 7, DD woke up at 7.45. That should mean that I can send her to bed at 9.30. It changes every day in the holidays, which DH weirdly has more problem with than me.

YeTalkShiteHen · 16/08/2018 09:05

This is the first year we’ve had a problem, so I should be counting myself lucky shouldn’t I? Sad I had to pull the “reasonable adjustments” protected in law blah blah to get the feckers to listen! DS1 was in meltdown because he couldn’t plan ahead and I was just so pissed off because it was the council’s muck up but they weren’t interested, despite hearing him crying!

I’m a bit more relaxed in the holidays, but it bothers DP more too actually!

KateGrey · 16/08/2018 10:16

A system milker here! Two children both diagnosed with autism and ADHD, hypermobility, dysgraphia, spd and one has coeliac disease. One is 5 and can’t talk so we’re milking the dla as much as we can 😂 Not that I had to give up a career which paid triple our DLA.

Probably long gone but your friend is a grade A dick!

Queenofthestress · 16/08/2018 11:44

Not even going there today
School holidays are too long! DS is hating it, DD is terrorising DS and he's getting her back
DP came off his motorbike 3 days ago so trying to sort out a replacement
And found out his best mate has been talking a load of shite to everyone, lied to every fucker going so had DP's mate who put his job on the line for him and ex-friends dad round to find out the extent of the lies.
Shitshow of a week

imnotreally · 16/08/2018 13:36

I'm still waiting for my letters for last school year from transport 😂😡

imnotreally · 16/08/2018 13:38

I am so relieved that dd is now in high school near dd2s school and I no longer have to do transport. It has driven me crazy. Especially when the taxi turns up before I'm back with dd2 and the taxi driver refuses to wait.

Still have 3 in 3 different schools but from sept 19 I'll have two in 1 school and both schools will be in the same 1 mile area.

MarklahMarklah · 17/08/2018 11:52

Friend isn't pursuing withdrawal of funding at this point. He's also been told that the court case thingy he's been suffering PTSD over is likely to be dropped as apparently the defence barrister doesn't seem to regard his evidence as reliable (nor that of many of the other vulnerable people who are facing their worst anxiety fears by offering to testify), so he/they may have to get funding for legal representation themselves, rather than legal aid, which is what they've been relying on because, well, they're vulnerable and can't afford legal representation.
I still don't know the full facts and don't feel this si something I can push for, but I get the feeling that if money was no object for my friend and others, the shit would hit the fan big time in some areas...which almost makes you think there's some sort of conspiracy/cover up at play as there have been delays with appointing people to carry out certain tasks from the start, and then those appointed have been found to have 'conflicts of interest'.
Oh, and friend was also told that, of course, he should have reported it sooner - "It's decades later, why are you raising this now?"

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 20/08/2018 10:14

Good morning.

I haven't fully caught up yet- we've had a hell of a week. A death, and just general stress. Give me a day. Hope you're all ok. 💚

Sending love Radley I’m sorry you’re having a rough week Flowers

imnot thankfully the escort on the bus is lovely! He’s sailed off happily every day so far, long may it continue! Grin

I’m glad you don’t have to deal with it anymore!
