I think, anyway! Not sure now! So I'll put it to the MN jury...and I'll happily apologize, because I have the ability to own my shit.

Chatting to a friend about going out tonight (after the week I've had, I bloody deserve it!)

She started on a massive stretch about me claiming PIP to "piss it up the wall", I obviously need the disposible income, etc, etc. It was really bitchy!

She's made catty comments in the past, but tbh I thought that was down to me- I have a weird sense of humor, and take the piss out of myself all the time. But never like this.

She said that, if I was independant enough to go out alone (I'll be meeting a friend, but eill be making my own way) I shouldn't be claiming Personal INDEPENDANCE Payment, and that "I'm what's wrong with the government atm!

I sent her a REALLY sarky text in reply, but it's made me doubt myself!

I need to calm down...

Attention and sympathy? Well dammit I missed that memo, how remiss of me!

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley please accept my gracious apologies for not assuming that mentioning disability meant I must gush and patronise and give you all the sympathy.

No wait.....inappropriate humour it is then Grin

Wooooo hooooo I know how to do that part you see Grin

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 06/08/2018 13:34

Ps...I have bright red and pink hair, an ass with it's own postcode, and I sound like a cowboy when I'm drunk...I think I get enough attention!

when there's a piano in the street I get even more

Yeahhhhh in a manner of speaking

Haha fair point Grin unfortunately in my case it’s usually unintentionally funny! But fuck it, why not Wink

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 06/08/2018 13:45

I think we have all gone past the point of politeness anyway 😁😁😁😁

I’ve never been in front of it to go past it Grin

Quiettiger · 06/08/2018 13:52

I'm ashamed to say "were they twins? Because no one would have fucked you twice".

OP that is an utterly GENIUS response. You made me spit my coffee out with laughter (I should be doing my VAT return), so thank you for a bright spot in a dreary day!

SusieQ5604 · 06/08/2018 13:53

I'm in the US. What in the heck is "PIP"?

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 06/08/2018 14:01

PIP is Personal Independance Payment. It's money awarded by the government to people who don't deserve it, to spend on gin, lego, and Pokemon Go balls.

ladycarlotta · 06/08/2018 14:29

@AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley I used to do support work for a woman who spent her PIP on Lego (not all of it. I mean, almost never.). She was ace.

SupposedStudent · 06/08/2018 14:38

Therapeutic Lego.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 06/08/2018 14:40

Lego is the work of the devil...

Especially when you can't see it on the floor- and you're barefoot!

OP posts:
Queenofthestress · 06/08/2018 15:15

I'm alright on that front, DS eats lego so I don't think I'll have that to worry about for a long while 😂

SargeantAngua · 06/08/2018 16:12

I spend/have spent a bit of my PIP/ESA on lego, mecanno, jigsaws, cross stitch sets, fabric, yarn, sewing machine, drawing materials, audio book library subscription etc A small price to pay for sanity, happiness and to try and keep my brain ticking over!

SargeantAngua · 06/08/2018 16:14

That is spread over the 5 1/2 years since I first got ill...

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 06/08/2018 16:16

And Lego Radley. 😆

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 06/08/2018 16:18

So does DO 27 ladycarlotta.

So many AFOLs on this thread! (Adult Fans Of Lego, our school caretaker tells me).😆

Gooseygoosey12345 · 06/08/2018 16:47

It's not exactly easy to get PIP so if you're getting it it's because you definitely need it. She's not a friend, kind of a dick actually

angelfacecuti75 · 06/08/2018 17:02

I claim pip . I know a person who is physically disabled but works and claims it. It's much more than just being physically disabled a lot of the time (I'm guessing you have issues with your sight op). I think you can't argue with stupid, sometimes and I would probably ghost her from now on because lime other people have said , she's not your friend & is completely ignorant and being childish .

PIP is Personal Independance Payment. It's money awarded by the government to people who don't deserve it, to spend on gin, lego, and Pokemon Go balls.

You also missed out Jo Malone and Karen Millen!

To answer your other question the best JM candle in my opinion is Pomegranate Noir😊

Anyway I’m kind of feeling like this 🤪. Just finished my PIP review. How the fuck do I destinguish between what’s my illness (of which there is several) and which is a side effect of one of my 8 meds- when they are can be the same. Chicken and egg scenario???

angelfacecuti75 · 06/08/2018 17:10

Ps I laughed out loud at the midwife comment you made I wish I was that upbeat and that witty that quickly ! Op you're better than you're friend, I salute you, your positivity, outlook and determination .
Well done you for keep buggaring on ..

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 06/08/2018 17:12

The meds are vital to manage your illness- so any side effects from the meds are indirectly caused by your illness IYSWIM.

I've just finished DS's DLA renewal, god help me when it comes to PIP, we've got a fair while yet so you guys better be around in 12 years! 🙈
