Stingy Tooth Fairy

My daughter has her first wobbly tooth.

When I was a kid we had the stingiest tooth fairy that ever was. We got 5p a tooth. But it was ok, because it's what we were used to! That and porridge made with water for breakfast - it was the magic of the 5p that was so special.

I can't believe the lengths some parents go to nowadays. I heard recently that one mum gives £10 per tooth and writes a mini book and does fairy feet in icing sugar.

I don't have time for that. AIBU? £1 should suffice...right?

We used to get £1 in the 80s and we were fairly poor. Some of you are really tight! I think most kids get about a fiver now do they not? DD hasn't lost a tooth yet but that's what I'm expecting to pay

£2 for front teeth , £1 for the rest
