If someone stopped you in the street and asked you for an iconic sentence / word etc that makes you instantly think of MumsNet - what would it be??

Ps: posting in AIBU for traffic

OP posts:

Why did you not google cheap counselling and your area before posting a thread on MN?

whatyadoing · 31/07/2018 11:07

This is typical AIBU. OP tells us they are not being unreasonable. MN massive decided they are. OP VANISHES.

MairyHole · 31/07/2018 11:07

"You sound lovely OP"

Of course they do. They're not very likely to make themself sound a complete bastard. It really irritates me for some reason.

whatyadoing · 31/07/2018 11:08

Why did you not discuss this with your husband? Do you have communication issues?

whatyadoing · 31/07/2018 11:10

My husband is an arse and I have tried to discuss it with him.

"why don't you sit down and discuss this with him? Perhaps you have communication issues?"

ratbaggy · 31/07/2018 11:47

Softzilla

Ironfloor269 · 31/07/2018 11:48

BlueGenes · 31/07/2018 12:48

Grabby. Especially when people are behaving perfectly normally.

Reasonable/unreasonable. I never said this before MN. I say it all the time now in RL. I find myself saying 'I mean, I'm not being unreasonable am I?' Or 'tell me if I'm being unreasonable'. I feel like I need to stop or I'll be outed as a MNer Grin

snozzlemaid · 31/07/2018 18:09

Thanks Anyone 12 years!!!
I remember laughing so much at the name change failure.

Kpo58 · 31/07/2018 19:37

You sound spiteful.

Usually in regards of whether or not to report someone who has 50 holidays per year by defrauding the government or someone who shows genuine concerns in regards to a family or step family member.

bluemascara · 31/07/2018 19:39

Serious question though... where is Phylis? I really miss her

AnnieHawk · 31/07/2018 20:59

Having been lurking on Mumsnet for some months now, I decided to go back through some of the old threads. I found one that will be making me laugh when I'm a hundred. My new favourite phrase? Mexican house thief.

YesitsJacqueline · 31/07/2018 21:02

When your husband comes home ( from 48 hr drink/drug binge) hand him the baby abd go out for the day.

GrannyHaddock · 31/07/2018 21:02

Just imagine a woman had done this, instead of a man.
