To think tea is not a refreshing drink?!

Why on earth do people keep asking if I want a cup of tea?!

It’s 34 degrees!

My Nana always used to say that ‘hot drinks cool you down’...do they fuck!

I can honestly say I’ve never been refreshed by a cup of tea. To me, a drink has to be cold to be refreshing. Don’t get me wrong, I love tea but it’s a comforting drink rather than a refreshing one, surely?

Sorry Itsveryhard I should have said I wasn't including decaf.

But I'm totally with OP, I cannot see how any hot drink can cool you down, that's not logical.

I'm not sure I'd call it "refreshing" but a good cup of tea is definitely thirst quenching whatever the weather. It somehow relaxes and energises at the same time. I probably drink a bit less in hot weather but I still drink loads.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make a cuppa.
