My DH just tried to get near me and I couldn’t believe it. We are both just lying here sweltering. I can’t imagine doing anything that would make me more sweaty. Or touching his hot hot skin.

Haha!!! I told my husband in no uncertain terms to take his sticky little hands away from me!

Although we had the windows wide open and I was woken up at 4.30 by a rather happy couple "enjoying themselves" so apparently some of us are still capable Grin

LuckyAmy1986 · 27/07/2018 11:36

Have ended up doing it the past two night in a row despite being in v hot SE England. Don’t know why as it’s not like we are normally at it all the time and can’t go without?!

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 27/07/2018 14:24

Every night's a fun night here Grin

Def not! Supposed to cool down tmw though...

hungryhippo90 · 27/07/2018 16:07

Oh cmon, he doesn’t have a physical disability or any issue taking care of himself, I thought it was fairly funny that it came to him as an idea to help his sweating, and even more so that he felt that it was a two person job, if it were that my husband was disabled or in some sort of position where he actually needed the assistance because of a legitimate issue I’d have not posted. Maybe it’s nowhere near as funny as I think either. But ok.

JustBeenNosey · 27/07/2018 16:12

I'm totally with you on this one! I always stay at my other half's and it's ridiculously warm at his house! I think I've stayed over a handful of times this year because it's either red hot.. or his mum has the heating on full whack when there's no need! 😰😰😰

QuinionsRainbow · 27/07/2018 20:59

It's cooling down here, now, with even a few spots of rain. Wonder what the night will bring, apart from a blood moon that we probably won't be able to see becaue of the frlipping clouds!

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 27/07/2018 22:23

I’m in the Highlands hoping for the thunder storm the rest is Scotland is getting. Told dh I’d love to cuddle him but I wasn’t touching him.
Also managed to embarrass teen dpd whose friend heard me mention my under boob sweat marks earlier. She’s not easily embarrassed so I’m delighted by that.

Distractotron · 27/07/2018 22:30

I had sex last night! It’s rare these days so I feel like this was a great achievement 😬 although the dog we’re looking after doesn’t like us cuddling and starts barking at any noise that might be perceived as ‘distress’. So it was a bit rubbish. Still, though! pats self on sweaty back

Gwenhwyfar · 27/07/2018 22:36

"I’m in the Highlands hoping for the thunder storm the rest is Scotland is getting"

Really? What's the temperature there?
Not hot at all in south Wales today.

Distractotron · 27/07/2018 22:36

Btw hungryhippo I took your post as silly/funny. People read far too much into comments on AIBU!

Metoodear · 27/07/2018 22:38

Haha I am sweating from my lady garden

Their will be no sex until we hit about 28degrees

cricketmum84 · 28/07/2018 06:27

I thought your post was very funny hungryhippo, ignore the humourless. It's a bit depressing when you have to write LIGHTHEARTED in neon letters just to avoid weird/snidey responses.

Tiredemma · 28/07/2018 07:11

We have air con in the bedroom. Wink

CountFosco · 28/07/2018 07:14

Salem I grew up in the north of Scotland. There it is common to have the heating on all year round and every house has a 'porch' (solidly built conservatory) with lots of glass to capture heat on a sunny (but cold and windy) day that then helps heat the rest of the house. Houses have double or triple glazing and lots of insulation and modern houses have ground source heating and windmills. Next to no solar panels though! The summer is short and sweet if it happens at all. I don't actually associate heat with summer, it's all about how long the days are.

I now live several hundred miles south but even here there were only a few weeks last year when the heating didn't come on for at least a short while in the morning and last winter the boiler was going full blast for months.

DroningOn · 28/07/2018 07:29

Can't beat sweaty sex!

Ciccione · 28/07/2018 17:30

In Italy they have a saying: In agosto moglie mia, non ti conosco! In August, my wife, I don't know you! An old Italian lady told me that!xxx

steff13 · 28/07/2018 17:34

The car had aircon and It's in the garage. YABU!

You didn't run the car in the garage with the garage door closed, did you?

katseyes7 · 28/07/2018 18:09

Pfffft. Chance would be a fine thing....

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/07/2018 18:10

Do you mean with someone else?

Not in this heat, no.

jellomello · 28/07/2018 18:12

Bugger, I wish I'd read this at the time and I'd have not bothered 😂

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 28/07/2018 18:13

Gwen was 23 degrees outside last night when I typed that. Was pouring down when I got up this morning and was still 21 degrees outside even then. Was odd going out to the bin first thing expected it to be much colder than it was.
I am a fair distance away from Wales though so a drastic difference isn’t unheard of. We’ve had 30 degrees plus this week again.
Never did get my thunder storm but seen some cracking pictures on Facebook of Aberdeen.
